Sophia Vergara Tops Forbes List of Highest Earning TV Actresses
Sophia Vergara is truly fabulous at 40 and now Forbes has her topping the highest paid actress list. At last count her salary for the Emmy-winning Modern Family which brings in 12 million viewers weekly, is $65,000 per episode.
That is only a portion of her income. She also has a clothing line and huge endorsement deals with major companies like Burger King and Cover Girl. She is also a co-owner of Latin World Entertainment. It’s a marketing company that caters primarily to the under served Hispanic demographic.
Amy Spiridakis, the director of marketing for Diet Pepsi describes the company as
the connective tissue between Pepsi and the Hispanic marketplace
This is exactly Vergara’s intention. She explained to told Forbes,
“The truth is out that we’re in this country and we’re taking over, To see people paying attention to the cultural changes …is fantastic.”
Vergara beat out Kim Kardashian by just $1 Million dollars.
Eva Longoria edges out the top 3. Desperate Housewives in its final season cut Longoria the biggest per episode check on television. She received $400,000 per episode bringing her earnings to $15 Million.
