American Idol Top Three

American Idol Top Three

The worst season of American Idol is finally coming to an end soon. The show is down to just three contestants, which means that the finale is not too far away! The top three was revealed last night in a very emotional elimination show. Many people say that this elimination show is often the most emotional because there are no more saves available and it‘s just one week before the famous “Idols go home“ episode. So, there was a lot on the line last night and the voters most have known because over 81 million votes came in (combined with last week).

Before the elimination took place, former Idol contestant David Cook took the stage and offered some advice to the remaining contestants. “You’re gonna cry. I did. And I don’t every cry. That’s a lie. That rhymed a lot.” he said. We didn’t claim it was good advice, we just said he gave some advice. Anyway, after 55 minutes of fluff, Ryan Seacrest finally revealed who would be the leaving the show. It was between Kree Harrison and Amber Holcomb. Who went home? Who stayed? Well, the small town girl from Texas, Amber Holcomb was sent packing. The news proved to be too much for the 19-year-old as she started to breakdown in tears on stage.

She did manage to keep it together long enough to sing most of her swan song, “I Believe in You and Me”. However, she broke down completely at the very, but she found comfort in the arms of her father who was brought on stage by Ryan Seacrest. This elimination was certainly not surprising, but it was still a very emotional night for everyone involved. Even the robot Mariah Carey was pictured crying when Amber broke down on stage.

Speaking of Mariah Carey, what’s the latest on her feud with Mariah Carey? Well, on Wednesday night’s show, the two judges got into one of their biggest arguments to date. We’re not even sure what exactly caused the argument this time, but it ended when Nicki Minaj pulled out a Q-Tip and offered it to Mariah Carey so she could “clean her ears out.” The argument didn’t end there, though. After Mariah pointed out that Minaj has yet to hit #1 on Billboard’s hot 100 single chart, Nicki fired back in a big way on her Twitter account.

“All dem #1’s but Jlo phone ringin? Lol. I guess having a personality, being a secure woman and giving genuine critique still trumps that.” Minaj wrote, obviously referencing the rumors that Idol producers want to replace Mariah with Jennifer Lopez. Believe it or not, that was actually one Nicki’s tamer tweets. Before that, she tweeted,

“What u SHOULD be doing (wit your messy ass) is asking why a woman SO successful at her age, is still so INSECURE, and bitter. @perezhilton”

Yawn. I am just so over this season of American Idol. Even this “feud” between Mariah and Nicki is starting to become very boring. The only thing that will save this season is if they actually get into a cat fight on stage. Slapping, hair pulling, pushing, clothes being ripped off and mud. I want all that! If it doesn’t happened within the first five minutes of next week’s show, I am turning it off and watching Duck Dynasty.
