You’ve probably heard about the feud going on between Miley Cyrus and Sinead O’Connor. It’s a feud that absolutely no one saw coming, but it sure has become very nasty and personal.
The beef started when O’Connor wrote an open letter to Miley Cyrus. In the letter, she actually gave Miley quite a few compliments. At one point she even tells Miley that her music is good enough on its own, she doesn’t need to strip down naked to sell it.
Basically, the open letter was warning Miley not to become a “prostitute” for the music business. She warned her not to fall into the trap that so many artists fall into. The letter read like a concerned parent, it was pretty sweet and thoughtful.
However, Miley Cyrus didn’t seem to take it that way. Miley bashed Sinead O’Connor on Twitter and pointed out O’Connor’s struggle with mental illness in the past. At one point, she even compared her to Amanda Bynes.
After seeing what Miley Cyrus wrote about her, O’Connor wrote ANOTHER letter. She told the 20-year-old star that it is “stupid and dangerous” to make fun of people who have had to have professional help for mental issues.
And now Miley is responding again. She wrote the following on her Twitter account,
“Sinead. I don’t have time to write you an open letter cause I’m hosting & performing on SNL this week. So if you’d like to meet up and talk lemme know in your next letter :)”
What a little brat. She keeps talking about how she is growing up, but I have yet to see it. Taking off your clothes and making a fool of yourself on stage doesn’t make you a grown-up. Being a respectful, caring and modest person does.
I think the worst part about Miley’s attitude is the fact that she thinks that anyone who says anything bad about her is just a “hater.” She believes that we just don’t “get” her. She’s just so clever and futuristic that we just don’t get what she is doing.
We get it, Miley. We just don’t like it.
