Honey Boo Boo Involved In Serious Car Accident (No, she wasn’t behind the wheel)
Honey Boo Boo and her family have been having some wonderful luck the past few years. Ever since Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson made everyone fall in love with her on “Toddlers In Tiaras”.
The Boo Boo family now have their own show on TLC and are making that money, honey. However, they did suffer a little bit of a blow on Monday when they were involved in a serious car accident.
Apparently, Mike ‘Sugar Bear’ Thompson was driving the Boo Boo girls around town. He stopped at a red light and waited for it to turn green. Once the light turned, he pulled out into the intersection and that’s when a truck came flying through the red light.
[more…]The truck smashed into the Boo Boo vehicle and did quite a bit of damage. Thankfully, no one suffered any serious injuries, but a few members of the family did have to be checked out at the hospital. Pumpkin told TMZ she has suffered bad bruising on her chest, but Honey Boo Boo has only complained of a headache.
And the leader of the family, Mama June, released the following statement to Us Weekly,
“As many of you have heard we were in a car accident last night. It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck. We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkin’s birthday. She turned 14 today and no matter how sore we feel we are going to go out and celebrate. As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.”
Well, that really does suck that it happened so close to her birthday. Hopefully she’s not in too much pain. I don’t know anything about this family, but anyone who allows their kids to have names like “Honey Boo Boo” and “Pumpkin” are fine by me.
