Freddy Prinze Claims 24 Made Him Want to Quit Acting

Actor Freddie Prinze Jr. arrives to attend a premiere of the Fox network series "24" in New York

Apparently, Freddy Prinze Jr. has no fear of Agent Jack Bauer. While talking with ABC News Radio at Comic-Con, Prinze tore 24 costar Kiefer Sutherland apart, referring to him as unprofessional and stating that his brief time working with the actor on 24 made him want to quit acting all together.

In case you’re wondering if his statements were being exaggerated or taken out of context, check out this direct quote;

“Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking trash; I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that.”

Prinze claimed he was made to take his shoes off when doing scenes with the actor because they didn’t want him to tower over the 5’4” star.

To add insult to injury, Sutherland had nothing but good things to say about working with Freddie Prinze Jr. back in 2009.

Prinze isn’t the first star to bash working with Kiefer Sutherland. Back in June 2013, Shohreh Aghdashloo, another 24 costar, had nothing but complaints about working with him.

“I’m afraid working with him proved to be hard. That young man was pretty angry. It wasn’t just me, he was angry with others too. At the end of the day, I thought he must be angry with himself and that’s how he projects it.”

While Aghdashloo appeared to censor herself over her feelings about working with Sutherland, Prinze apparently decided to let it all hang out.

It seems strange that the actor is only commenting on this now, in 2014, when he was on 24 in 2010. Any chance he’s just trying to stir up controversy to get some free publicity for his new project Star Wars Rebels?
