Start Your Monday Off Right: Hilary Duff Is Down For A ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reunion

Monday mornings are the worst. We here at TVST recognize this. We hate Mondays just as much as you do, so starting today, we are going to bring a little bit of happiness into your life every Monday morning. This means we promise to post at least one feel-good story every Monday morning.

This Monday, we have some really exciting news, especially for you ‘Lizzie McGuire‘ fans. If I can be honest with you all right now, Lizzie McGuire was one of my favorite shows when I was younger. My friends would be like, “Hey, man. Let’s go play some football.” And I’d be like, “Uh, no thank you. It’s f–king hot outside, and I think Gordo might actually kiss Lizzie in this episode!”

So, when I saw these headlines claiming Hilary Duff was down for a reunion, I had to see what it was all about. It turns out Hilary Duff is finally ready to make her comeback. After getting married and having a baby, the 26-year-old star is set to release a new album and star in a new show on TV Land.

The Huffington Post talked with Duff recently and the idea of a Lizzie McGuire reunion was brought up.

“I love it! I would be totally open to it. My schedule is a little busy right now. But um … why not? I mean, so many people loved her. I loved her. Honestly, working on that show, I got so strong with my physical comedy and all the things that they would throw at me. I got covered in goo every week, and I got, like, smashed in the face with a locker every single week. And all this, I mean it was a really, really fun show. And obviously people really loved her. Maybe a “Lizzie: Where Are You Now?” like 10 years later.”

She was also asked the important question: Team Gordo or Team Ethan?

“Lizzie always chooses the right way. Personally? Ethan! No, no, I’m just kidding. I always choose the good guy. The naughty side of me wants to be like, ‘The hot guy,’ but then I always choose the good guy.”

There you have it, folks. A Lizzie McGuire reunion must happen now. Let’s hope no one invites Aaron Carter back.
