Jennifer Lawrence Talks Nude Photos, Says You All Should Cower With Shame

law

It’s been several weeks since multiple photos of Jennifer Lawrence were spread all over the internet. The 24-year-old actress had stayed quiet on the matter, refusing to discuss the photos with the media.

But that has all changed now in a big way. The award-winning actress will appear on the November 2014 cover of Vanity Fair. She spoke to the magazine about the “sex crime” and in typical Jennifer Lawrence fashion, she was brutally honest.

“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.”

She then explained why she didn’t release a statement or an apology…

“I don’t have anything to say I’m sorry for. I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he’s going to look at you.”

And then she went off on the hackers and the websites who posted the uncensored photos.

“It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That’s why these Web sites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody’s mind is to make a profit from it. It’s so beyond me. I just can’t imagine being that detached from humanity. I can’t imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside.”

But wait, there’s more! Not only is she disgusted by the hackers and the websites, but she’s also disgusted by everyone who viewed the photos, which means she’s grossed out by probably 95% of her fans now.

“Anybody who looked at those pictures, you’re perpetuating a sexual offense. You should cower with shame. Even people who I know and love say, ‘Oh, yeah, I looked at the pictures.’ I don’t want to get mad, but at the same time I’m thinking, I didn’t tell you that you could look at my naked body.”

You know, I’ve seen some people reacting to this interview in a very defensive way. Like, “This girl needs to chill! It ain’t no sex crime. What’s her problem?!”

And to that I would ask, “What is your problem?” She has a right to be angry, she has right to feel violated, she has right to fight back and just because she took some naughty photos for her boyfriend does not mean she was “asking for this.”

Let’s still appreciate how incredibly hot she is, but let’s do it by focusing on things she has made public.
