If there is one thing we know about Floyd, it’s that he has money. He doesn’t call himself “Money Mayweather” for nothing.   He is not rated in the Forbes List of Top Earning Athletes for no reason; topping the list in 2015 for the second consecutive year.  In fact, every opportunity that Floyd gets, he constantly reminds us that he has more money and no problems. If you don’t think money can buy happiness, he wants you to look at the smile on his face…..ear to ear.

Just in case you forgot, here are a few reminders:

HELLO? CHEF Q?

Oh yes. This reminds us why we are here. In preparation for his big fight on May 2nd with Manny Pacquaio, diet and nutrition are a main focus for Floyd. This is arguably the biggest fight of his career and the biggest fight of our generation. A self-proclaimed, fast food-aholic, in efforts to make sure that his midnight cravings are satisfied with nutrients, he has a chef on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Her name is Chef Q.

During his fight prep, Mayweather will not be eating anything from a can as she will prepare all of his food from scratch. She told TMZ,

He likes everything fresh. Nothing from bottles or cans because they have different preservatives that are not healthy for your body

WHO IS CHEF Q?

Here at TVST we pride ourselves in a different approach to Celebrity news. Instead of just regurgitating a TMZ story we do a little digging and we like to give props where props are due. After spending some time on her Instagram page, Chef Q is the real deal. She interacts with her fans and through all the recent fame, she has remained surprisingly humble. One thing that comes across loud and clear is that her passion is food. The more I trolled her IG, the more I fell in love with her. It’s easy to see why Floyd has no problems paying a premium for her services.

Quiana Shanai Jeffries is her real name. At age 10, with skills passed down from her grandmother, she knew she wanted to be a great chef. In 2003, she enrolled in the infamous Culinary Arts School, Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, California. She graduated in 2005 and was ready for the world.

Before cooking for Floyd, she used to be the executive Chef at Otis Jackson’s Soul Dog restaurant in North Hollywood. The restaurant has since closed down giving her the freedom to deliver high end catering services.

Chefism is her brand and her mission is simple,

Chefism is dedicated to providing the absolute finest delectable cuisines. Our mission is to provide superior catering service by striking the perfect balance between taste and grace. We use the freshest ingredients and the highest quality products in our quest to delight the taste buds of our culturally diverse clientele.

Her dream is to own her own restaurant and with the money that Floyd is paying her and the connections she is making, I’m sure she will be there in no time.

$1000 PER MEAL?

That’s right. She is getting $1000 per meal. TMZ broke the story this week. The fight with Manny was announced just one month ago on February 20th. If he eats 4 times per day for the 71 days leading up to the main event then that will be 284 meals at least. That is a pay day before taxes for Chef Q of $284,000. More than a quarter of a million dollars for 70 days of work. Dreams do come true.

As for Floyd, he stands to make $150 million so the ¼ million for food is well spent chump change. To put things in perspective, it would be like having a $150 in your pocket and spending 28 cents on a bag of chips. WOW! In case you were wondering how TMZ found out Chef Q’s rate – From Floyd himself of course.

To be clear, he actually says, that the $1000 per meal is her rate, but he is getting a discount. So he could possibly be paying less, but she can also be making more than 4 meals per day. $1000 per meal is a fun number so us media slobs ran with it.

PACQUIAOS TRAINER NOT IMPRESSED

Freddie Roach, Manny’s trainer says he hopes that Chef Q can make crow because that’s what Floyd will be eating,

“Whatever it is, it sure sounds expensive. I hope she knows how to make crow and soft foods palatable because after he faces Manny that is all Mayweather will be eating…thousand dollar meals, give me a break.”

Congratulations Chef Q, you have new fans here at TVST, we wish you the best. When I’m in Vegas, I’m coming to look for your restaurant.
