Forbes Releases ‘Highest-Paid TV Actresses of 2015’ List, Who Took Home The Top Spot?

Starring in a hit television show is one of the best jobs an actor/actress can land. You have a steady job, a location to call home, and you get to cash fat checks. Forbes’ list of highest-paid TV actresses was just released, and two special ladies tied for first place.

Sofia Vergara and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting. Honestly, you’re probably not too surprised to hear they took home the top spot. Sofia has been number one on the list for four years straight! Mainly because of her starring role in the wildly successful ABC show Modern Family. According to the report, both Sofia and Kaley, made $28.5 million in 2015.

Kaley’s money comes from The Bang Theory. As you probably remember, she negotiated a reported $1 million per episode salary before last season, so it’s not difficult to understand how she made it to the top of the list. After Sofia and Kaley, the earnings drop off significantly.

The number three actress on the list, Sofia’s Modern Family co-star Julie Bowen, reportedly took home $12 million this year. Obviously, anyone would be happy with $12 million, but it’s interesting to see how fast the numbers drop. Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy) is a happy number 4 with $11.5 million. And finishing off the top five is Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order SVU) with an impressive $11 million.

We should note that Forbes also included money earned from endorsement deals and appearance fees; however, most of the money came directly from the TV shows. It’s still crazy to think that Kaley gets around $1 million per 30-minute episode. That’s such an insane amount of money, and you know the job has to be pretty easy for her now.
