Say What? Floyd Mayweather Admits There Is A Way Conor McGregor Could Beat Him In Boxing Match (VIDEO)
Floyd Mayweather is taking a unique approach to his potential battle with Conor McGregor. Instead of trying to match Conor’s insults, which is what most of Conor’s opponents do, Mayweather is playing nice.
The legendary boxer was out in Los Angeles on Tuesday night for an event at Catch with Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey.
And after the event was over, Mayweather talked to the paparazzi about McGregor. He admitted that there is a chance Conor could beat him…
“I’m not gonna sit right here and knock Conor McGregor. He’s gone out there and done what he’s had to do. It’s obvious he’s done something right thus far to get to the point where he’s at. I’ve been off for a couple years and I’m 40 years old now. So, I’m a lot older and he’s still in his 20s and I’m in my 40s now. So that could play a major key, we don’t know. And he’s a heavy hitter.”
And that last line is probably more important than the age difference. McGregor’s only chance of winning comes via the knockout, and it could happen because he has a lot of power. All it would take is one good shot.
Mayweather knows this…
“Every time he goes out there and defeats fighters, he’s standing up. He’s in a boxing position and he’s beating fighters. Does he have a good chance of upsetting Floyd Mayweather? I can’t say, but anything can happen in the sport of boxing.”
Yes. Floyd Mayweather still talks about himself in third person, but when you’re as rich and famous as he is, you can pretty much do anything you want. (side note: what is Floyd standing in front of in the video? A freaking spaceship?)
Hopefully this boxing match happens soon. It would be so disappointing to have all this talk, and then end up with zero action.
