Hollywood Knew About Harvey Weinstein’s History Of Sexual Assault, And These Videos From Years Back Prove It! (VIDEO)

All these celebs who are acting surprised by this Harvey Weinstein scandal are full of sh*t. It was well known in Hollywood that Weinstein was a certified creep, and most were too afraid to speak out against him because he had a lot of power in the business. We’re talking God-like power.

No one would touch him 5, 10…15 years ago, well, almost no one. A few celebrities/writers did take little jabs at Weinstein. They didn’t exactly come out and say, “Hey. This dude might rape you,” but they put that thought in your mind, which might have been enough to save at least a few young actresses from his Shrek-like face.

Back in 2013, Seth MacFarlane called out Weinstein during the Oscar Nominations. After announcing the nominees for Supporting Actress, MacFarlane joked, “Congratulations. You five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein.”

And make no mistake about it, this joke came from a place of anger. He spoke out recently and said this was his way of defending his friend Jessica Barth, who was one of the many actresses assaulted by the film producer.

“I couldn’t resist the opportunity to take a hard swing in his direction. Make no mistake, this came from a place of loathing and anger. There is nothing more abhorrent and indefensible than abuse of power such as this.”

MacFarlane isn’t the only one, though. The writers on 30 Rock also took a shot at Weinstein. On the 14th episode in season 6, Jane Krakowski’s character joked that she’s not afraid of anyone in show business because she’s already turned down Weinstein, “I turned down intercourse with Harvey Weinstein on no less than three occasions out of five.”

In another episode in season 7, her character made another joke about Weinstein: “Look, I get it. I know how former lovers can have a hold over you long after they’re gone. In some ways, I’m still pinned under a passed-out Harvey Weinstein, and it’s Thanksgiving.”

And perhaps the most subtle hit of all came from Gwyneth Paltrow. During an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman the day before Thanksgiving back in 1998, the then 26-year-old actress talked about how it wasn’t her choice to be on the show. She usually spends Thanksgiving with her family, but Weinstein pretty much forced her to be there.

“I do all my movies for Harvey Weinstein…I’m lucky to do them there, but he will coerce you to do a thing or two,” she says during the interview…

Interesting note about the Paltrow video. She reportedly turned down one of Weinstein’s infamous massages when she was just 22-years-old. She told her friends and family about it, including her boyfriend at the time, Brad Pitt.

This made Weinstein extremely angry. He yelled at her, “It was brutal,” she said. But they ended up keeping a professional relationship and worked on several movies together.

“I was expected to keep the secret. But no longer: We’re at a point in time when women need to send a clear message that this is over. This way of treating women ends now.”
