Jason Kidd Arrested for DWI. This Might Force Knicks to Counter Ridiculous Offer to Jeremy Lin!
Jason Kidd is certainly living up to his name. Super early Sunday morning just before 2:00 AM the new Knick was arrested for a DWI. He crashed his 2010 Escalade in an accident that happened close to his house in the Hamptons.
The good news is that he nor anyone else were seriously injured. At age 39, he just signed a 3 year deal with the Knicks for $9.5 million dollars. Not only did he jeopardize that but also the lives of everyone else on the road. When TMZ first reported the incident they described Kidd as “Incredibly drunk”. He hit a pole and veered into the woods.
Kidd was reportedly at a benefit held at a private Hampton’s estate hosted by NeYo to honor George Lucas. After the event they went to the chi-chi SL East club. They say that he was partying so much that he was literally hanging from a light fixture before it broke and had to be carried out of a local Hamptons night club. They also say that friends tried to stop him from getting behind the wheel but he insisted and left alone.
TVST => Friends really don’t let friends drink and drive. Seriously. Here’s a tip, when a guy is that drunk, get the car keys and then pretend to lose them. They can’t get mad at an accident. Then promise to come back in the morning and help them find it. Works everytime. The alternative is what we have here….or worse.
After Kidd was treated for his injuries at Southampton Hospital he was arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI.
These legal issues might actually force the Knicks to match, what Carmelo Anthony referred to as a “Ridiculous Offer” from the Rockets for Jeremy Lin, and I agree. However in light of this recent situation and impending legal troubles that will haunt Kidd in the upcoming months, the Knicks should just blow the salary cap and keep Lin. I realize that he’s an unproven, over rated expense, but he is also an International Superstar and should put some asses in the seats. At least until they can figure something else out.

Was Oprah Saving Her Dad’s Barber Shop a Strategic Move to Help Him in a Nasty Divorce?
Oprah’s Dad could be a guest on her show!
Last week the big “O” made the news because she purchased her Dad’s barber shop before it went into foreclosure, after further snooping, it looks like that could have been a strategic move, allowing the shop to stay in the family while her father battled what is shaping out to be a nasty divorce.
The 79 year old Vernon Winfrey celebrated his 12 year wedding anniversary by filing for divorce just 5 days later. This is his third marriage and mostly likely his 3rd divorce. In his claim he cited the reason for divorcing Oprah’s stepmoms was the standard “irreconcilable differences” along with inappropriate “marital conduct”.
Barbara Winfrey files a counter revealing that Oprah’s dad has been up to some un-Oprah like behavior. In her court documentation, Barbara Winfrey states that Vernon not only had many extra marital affairs, but one time he became so angry he chased her with a gun!
Oprah’s dad and her stepmom live in a $1.5 million dollar house that is owned by Oprah, and now last week after spending $475,000 on his barber shop, she owns that too which means that technically Vernon owns nothing. Now in the divorce settlement neither the home nor the Barbara shop are negotiable.
Barbara Winfrey said she is on to the game,
‘I know what is going on. I’m tired of it, and I’ve had enough,
Barbara also told the local media that Oprah was controlling her father.
‘He believes what he’s told. His daughter doesn’t care about the community. His daughter doesn’t care about the barbershop. But I do,’
Oprah’s people released a statement contrary to Barbara Winfrey’s
‘Vernon Winfrey has been a fixture in the community for decades and will continue to manage the business on a day-to-day basis.’
In a telephone call to a local TV station Vernon said:
‘My wife and I, we have not been getting along well, and I did not want to endow myself to another drawn-out, struggling debt.’
Although Vernon’s Barber shop has been in its new East Nashville location a little over a year, he ran a shop there for 50 years and has no plan on retiring no matter what Oprah says, or how much money she has. Regarding retirement Vernon says,
‘When I’m gone, I’m glad I’ll be able to say I left the neighborhood looking nice,’
‘Some folks say, “Winfrey, you’re kind of old to be doing it.” I say, “You’re right, but I feel good,”’
It looks like Oprah and her stacks have his back. With a daughter who has a net worth of $2.7 billion, you can have 99 problems but trust me, a b**tch ain’t one.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to Divorce after 5 Years of Marriage
You can’t really tell me that you’re surprised. This is Hollywood.
Katie Holmes publicist / attorney released a statement today,
“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
I love how the engagement and marriage is public but the divorce is not. Personal and Private my a**.
The two have been married since 2006. They got engaged only after two months of dating. Back then Cruise was 43 and Holmes was 27. The difference in age seemed staggering. Now Cruise at age 49 and Holmes at 33, the gap doesn’t seem to be nearly as much. Then throw in the fact that Cruise is in phenomenal shape for “an almost” 50 year old.
The couples only child together is, Suri Age 6.
It’s crazy, Katie Holmes essentially killed Cruise’s career, now that it’s back – he’s kicked her to the Curb.
If you remember back in 2005, she was the cause of all that couch jumping crap on Oprah. It was back in 2005 and he was professing his love for Holmes.

She was just as bad…probably worse. Holmes at the time said of Cruse,

With all that love gushing from every pore, you wouldn’t think they would have a pre-nup right?
DOES TOM CRUISE HAVE A PRENUP?
Reports are that they do. The couple is said to be worth approximately $275 million. If I had to guess $274.5 million of that is Tom’s. I’m sure Katie’s Dawson Creek money has dried up long ago.
The couple reportedly have hammered out a prenuptial agreement that will give Holmes as much as $33 million. Holmes got paid $3 million a year up to $33 million for each year she has been married to Cruise, plus she gets their home in Montecito California. That means Katie walks away with a little more then $15 million. Sounds like a win win to me.
So now we have the What is Happening, we just have to find out the Why!

Steve Wonder’s Nephew Faces Charges after Threatening To Lie To the Media by Reporting an Incestuous Relationship between Wonder and his Mom.
This is one of those stories that flew under the radar, or at least I didn’t hear too much about it. The legendary Stevie Wonder has a scumbag for a nephew. His nephew Lorenzo Walker and his girlfriend Tamara Eileen Diaz face charges of felony extortion of money and other property by “means of force and threat”.
The couple, in their desperate attempt to get money from Wonder said that they had some embarrassing information about Stevie and that they would turn it over to the media if Wonder did not pay them $5 million dollars. Shortly after, they changed their asking price to $10,000.
What was the secret?
A lie. Walker was going to tell the media that he was Stevie Wonder’s son from an incestuous relationship with his sister.
I mean what kind of person must you be to come up with such a diabolical scheme. There is a special place in hell for this guy. Not only is your uncle older, and blind, but I’m sure he has done a lot for him and his mom through the years.
THE LAPD STING OPERATION
The entire extortion plotl was witnessed by LAPD as Wonder had 2 cops pose as his representatives during the negotiation with Walker and Diaz! The undercovers negotiated the 2 knuckle-heads down from $5 million to $10,000. They set up a drop point where the two, Walker and Diaz were arrested and charged. They have been in jail ever since.
The 38 year old Walker was already on probation at the time after a judge suspended a three year prison sentence. This time he won’t be so lucky. I’m sure “Bubba” will teach him exactly what an incestuous relationship is.

Britney Spears is Confirmed as X-Factor judge for $15 Million, A Slap in the Face to Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger!
Britney Spears is officially on board as a judge on the X-Factor, although I still think $15 million is way too much, but who am I to argue with the great Simon Cowell. So far it’s L.A. Reid, Simon Cowell and Britney heading into Season 2 with 2 more positions left to fill.
When the rumors of the deal emerged about two weeks ago, it was almost a done deal but as you can imagine a deal of that magnitude needed to have all it’s I’s dotted and T’s crossed before going public. Simon and his team approached Spears with $10 Million and she countered with $20 million, they settled in the middle, but only for one year.
$15 MILLION IS ABOUT $12 MILLION TOO MUCH
In my opinion her $15 Million dollar contract will ruin this entire endeavor in terms of profitability. Just think Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger received $2.5 Million and $1.5 Million respectively. You are going to pay a “has been” Spears who hasn’t proven herself yet in this genre of television more then 4 times what you paid judges who have experience in this area. $15 Million for Mariah Carey or Beyonce seemed a tad high but acceptable, for Spears it’s jut plain ludicrous. The winner receives $5 million so before the first performance the entire production is in the hole $20 Million.
Rumor has it the last remaining spot will go to either Demi Lovato or Miley Cyrus. Spears at the $15 Million mark will have a significant impact on how much they will now command for one season. Are they experienced enough as performers to be judges on the X-factor? Not at all. You are going up against L.A. Reid, and Cowell himself, both men who have developed talent for a living. Lovato is only 19 for crying out loud, Reid has socks older then her.
I, like the executives at Fox have given Cowell enough rope to hang himself. He will either die or pull off the greatest singing show since Idol. The last remaining judge and nailing down the shows host are two huge undertakings that need to happen quickly and will also have a huge impact on the success of Season 2. The announcements are scheduled to happen on or before May 14th. Stay tuned.

Isn’t this exciting news??? Aren’t you thrilled beyond belief? Haven’t you been waiting all year for this?
Ok, maybe not, but here it is anyway. I’m pretty sure it’s not going to be as good as The Pualy D Project but it might be a train wreck worth watching.
PAULY D’S NUMBERS ARE DROPPING
As the buzz for the JWoww and Snooki show heat up, ratings for The Pauly D Project continue to drop. When Pauly premiered back on March 29th he had almost 3 million viewers. Last week he was around 1.5 million, declining every week. I still think the show is solid but the poor numbers might hurt Pauly’s earning power in the future.
SNOOKI AND JWOWW AGAINST THE WORLD
In the preview JWoww gets the news that Snooki is pregnant. JWoww asks,
“How did this happen?”
Snooki replies
“Sex”
Ladies and gentlemen this is quality television. As a fan of all TV I’m not going to judge in fact I will be tuning in on day one….at least the first few episodes. It all goes down June 21st. Waaaaa!!
