American Idol Top Four Revealed
This season of American Idol seems to going by so fast, which is probably a good thing since this is one of the worst seasons, ever. The ratings are down, the talent is down and the “personality” is most certainly down. The only interesting thing on Idol this year is the little “feud” between Nicki and Mariah, and even that is getting old now.
So, who made it to the top four last night? Well, Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller and Candice Glover were the top 3 of the night and will be moving on to next week. Janelle Arthur and Kree Harrison got the bad news that they were in the bottom two and it was Janelle Arthur who ended up being sent home last night. The judges had one more chance to use their save, but they were split in the decision. As you know, it has to be a unanimous decision by the judges.
“I’m sad because I wasn’t ready to go. I was already thinking about songs for next week and I think it would’ve been really good. I thought they were going to use the save, but not on me.” a clearly disappointed Janelle said after the show.
It wasn’t all bad for Janelle, though. She did talk about how incredible it was to get advice from Dolly Parton, “I would really love to just talk to her.” Janelle said. She also stated that she hopes she will land a recording deal after her appearance on Idol, “As long as I’m making music, I feel like it’s only up from here. I would love to get a record deal if that’s what meant to be, but I love to write, so I hope to get more things out there.” she told reporters.

America Sends Paul Jolley Packing, Lazaro Arbos Doesn’t Even see The Bottom Three.
People still watch American Idol, right? The once popular singing competition is currently in its 12th season and the contestants could not be any duller. Who care’s right, it’s all about the judges now anyway.
Regardless they had their second results show of the season last night and it was Paul Jolley of Dresden Tennessee who went home last night. It was kind of a bittersweet night for Jolley. Earlier in the show, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest presented Jolley with a commemoration of the day in his honor given to him by the citizens of his hometown in Tennessee. However, he didn’t have much time to celebrate because right after he received the honor, Ryan informed him that he was in the bottom three.
Paul Jolley joined Devin Velez and surprisingly, Amber Holcomb in the bottom three. The biggest surprise of the night was that Lazaro Arbos didn’t even crack the bottom three! He had a terrible performance on Tuesday, but somehow managed to stay out of the bottom three. Perhaps, it has something to do with the crying performance he gave on the stage after he was finished singing. Lazaro let the tears fall down when the judges criticized his performance, he couldn’t even look at the camera during their critique. He was crying and facing Ryan Seacrest the entire time.
It seems as if viewers felt sorry for him. As most of you know, Lazaro suffers from a chronic stutter that disappears when he sings. To some people, that sounds a little fishy. There are a lot of people on the internet who think that it’s all just an act, but we’re pretty sure it’s 100% legit. Usually, you find out by now if someone is faking something as serious as that. You’d get friends or people from his past coming out and saying, “He didn’t stutter when I knew him” but we haven’t heard anything like that. So, it’s safe to assume that the poor guy really does suffer from a stutter.
However, that’s not to say his emotional performance on Tuesday wasn’t an act. We’re sure he is well aware of the fact that people feel sorry him, so why not take advantage of it? He was certainly playing it up on Tuesday night and that’s probably what kept him in the competition.
How long will it last, though? Can he afford to have another off week? We’ll find out next week when the top 8 perform the music of Detroit.
On the flip side, Paul Jolley appears to be taking his exit in stride. He says that he’s not leaving alone, he’s taking his fans. During his exit interview Jolley said,
Now that I’ve been on Idol, I’m moving forward in my journey through life. And having all these fans means I’m not alone anymore. They’re going to be there for me 100 percent.”
We’ll see how many fans he really has when that album drops.

Nicki Minaj Says She Doesn’t Know If She Will Judge Idol [video]
As usual Minaj was all gimmick & no substance Thursday night during the VMA’s. The clown faced rapper hit the red carpet in a Donatella-Versace outfit that she said was basically sitting in the back of her closet. “Yeah Right”.
Before the “American Idol” talk she said that she was releasing Pink Friday Roman Re-loaded: The Re-up. She then puts on that dumb-ass voice, and says,
“Barbz, you are gonna spazz. You are gonna love it. You are gonna go cra-zy,”
I about spazzed, but before I put my fist through the TV, the American Idol Question came up. I held my breath hoping she was going to say that the deal fell through or that she simply didn’t want to do it. No such luck, however….she didn’t sound too positive.
You know something, I don’t know yet. I really don’t know. I have no comment on it”.
Then, when asked if it was her decision or the shows decision, (a backdoor way of asking if she had an and was reviewing it). Her reply was,
”Everything in my life, every opportunity is always my decision.”
What?? What the phuck is that supposed to mean? If you interview for a job and don’t get it, is that your decision? She never makes any sense, and this just proves my point. Of course every opportunity is yours once it’s offered to you.
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt and Nicki sounds pretty damn cocky.

The Biggest Mistake On National TV – Niki Minaj on American Idol
F*CK That!
I swear if Nicki Minaj gets selected to be on American Idol, I am setting up a Facebook Page Against it. I am not only boycotting the show, I’m going to sit down with the producers and smack some sense into somebody. This is ridiculous. If I was Mariah Carey I would be offended. In fact I would quit.
Do you see Mariah’s bio? It starts with:
In a career spanning over two decades, Carey has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
You are going sit that musical legend next to Nicki Minaj? NO! NO! NO! Minaj is all costume and gimmick no substance. How can she judge Idol better then any of us? In fact she can’t even write rhymes better then any of us?

“Mac & cheese, six friend chicken her guts, and I’m killing these b*tches by fucking it up!”
If it wasn’t for Little Wayne and Drake, Minaj would be Putting Cheese on my burger. I thought Britney Spears going to X-factor was a little suspect, but this is way out of control. I’d rather you put Gilbert Gottfried up there yelling for an hour then this Stupid Hoe.
If there is a TV GOD out there, please take the time and stop this train wreck from coming down the tracks. Sponsors – wake up and watch a Niki Minaj video. Trust me, you do not want your brand associated with this flash in the pan, hot mess.

American Idol Approaches Diddy – Why I’m Sure He Will Say NO
In what could actually be considered a great move, it has been reported by the NY Post that American Idol is actually in talks to reach out to Sean Diddy Combs.
This would be monumental. This would be as large as Howard Stern going to America’s Got Talent and it would most likely cost American Idol more the AGT in terms of salary. There would be no doubt that Diddy would command more money then J-Lo, Spears, and Mariah Carey.
There were talks of Nick Jonas or possibly Pharrell Williams but they both pale in comparison to getting Puff. There are a lot of things to consider both good and bad. There is the argument that Diddy has no talent himself but neither does Randy Jackson. The share number of hits that Diddy has produced makes him qualified to be a judge of talent. That is something that he can do. What he can also do is be entertaining. If you are looking for a bad guy that can be sweet, or a bad guy that can be downright nasty, Diddy is both. Ever see “Making the Band”?

I’m not sure if Diddy could just
be a judge. That’s where the entire idea falls apart. Financially it would only be a viable offer if Puff could use the platform to support Ciroc which I don’t actually think is possible. It’s a family show so there is no outlet for alcohol promotion. At least none that I could immediately thing of.
Secondly, you would be asking Puff to tae left-overs from Jennifer Lopez, someone that he used to date, now he’s getting sloppy seconds. They would have to rename the show, Diddy’s Idol. In fact, Puff is probably coming up with his own show as we speak for his own channel.
Lastly, Puff earns money from his projects which include more then making a record in a studio, like the previous judges. Being an Idol judge would be something for Puff after he’s slowed down.
On the upside for Diddy, Idol skyrocketed Jennifer Lopez’ career into the stratosphere. Not only did her endorsements increase, she became a household name and became No. 1 on Forbes most Powerful celebrity list. A list where Combs comes in 42nd place. Ouch.
As epic of an idea as it would be, I don’t think he would do it however Combs is not one to take 2nd place let alone 42nd place in anything.
Diddy nor Fox have confirmed if the NY Post story is true. The producers at Idol are thinking big..so that’s a good thing.

Will Mariah Carey Joining American Idol Bring Jennifer Lopez Back?
We all knew she was joining the cast, the questions that were on everyone’s mind was, “How Much” and for “How Long”.
Kevin Reilly of foxed announced yesterday that the deal was done. Mariah then said a few words,
“I am so excited to be joining ‘American Idol, This kind of all just happened really quickly.”
Then Simon Fuller – not to be mixed up with Simon Cowell also put his stamp of approval on things,
“We are proud to have one of the world’s greatest-ever female singers join our show, Mariah defines the word ‘Idol’ and will inspire every singer that has the honor of performing in front of her.”
She is just one replacement. The jury is still out as to her others will be although producer Nigel Lythgoe was hopeful that Jennifer Lopez would return (which contradicts reports that she was fired).
Nigel told the press on Monday,
Since she told “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest she was 99 percent sure she was leaving, that means there’s a 1 percent chance she won’t, Lythgoe said Monday.
But Nigel was also on record for telling critics that the show should be refreshed each season with new judges, which I personally totally disagree with.
For Carey this is an extremely calculated business move. She is making $18 million for a one season option making her the highest paid judge on any music competition show. Aguilera is at $10 million for “The Voice”, Britney Spears is at $16 million for “The X Factor”. Howard Stern is rumored to have gotten $20 Million for AGT but it’s not classified as a “music” competition show.
Carey is also working on her newest album and this will be a ridiculous amount of free promotion. Carey said,
“I’m currently in the studio working on my new album and its first single, ‘Triumphant,’ which will be out early next month, I can’t wait to channel my creative energy as a part of this show which is a massive global phenomenon.”
Her husband Nick Cannon opened his mouth to give a statement but all I heard was “Cha-ching” and other cash register related sounds.
