In 1988 she released her first single, “Hype According to Ms. Melodie” and she actually released an entire album produced by her the husband entitled “Diva”.  That all led to her “Self Destruction” verse and then later another infamous verse with Queen Latifah on “Ladies First”.

You have to remember, this was a time where there were only a few studios, only a few albums being dropped an even fewer female artists.  Each cameo and each verse was groundbreaking.

Hip Hop legend D-Nice, who is now a photographer and a world renown DJ had a conversation with Ms. Melodie only a few weeks ago, theurbandaily reports that D-Nice said,

“I had a pleasant conversation w/ Ms. Melodie a month ago. The last thing she said me to me was “I’m proud of you.” The love we all had for each other was genuine. Along the way, some of us lost focus. The love in my heart remained. Scott La Rock, KRS-One, D-Nice, Ms Melodie, & the rest of the BDP crew will always be a part of hip-hip history.”

Ms. Melodie is survived by her two sons.  Rest in peace Ms. Melodie and condolences to the Parker family.

The criticism came through all social media, with twitter leading the way. Here is a typical angry fan’s tweet:

“Luke Bryan’s version of the national anthem @ the All-Star game last night was an epic fail. He needs to learn respect & remember the lyrics!”

Luke, took to twitter to defend himself, explaining why he did, what he did.

“I had a few keys words written down to insure myself that I wouldn’t mess up. I just wanted to do my best. I promise it was from the heart,”

“If I offended anyone with my approach I sincerely apologize. Anytime I sing the anthem it is an honor and my heart beats out of my chest.”

That wasn’t all he caught flak for.  He also checked the time while he was singing, but for that he also had a valid reason and tweeted again in his defense.

“I did check my watch because I knew the stealth bomber would fly over 2 minutes in and I knew a started a little late,”

Personally I’d rather he do that, then screw it up.  You might see it as being unprepared, but it’s easy to get caught up in the moment like Christina Aguilera did.  You can barely tell what he’s doing, if he didn’t admit to it, you would have never known.  Sometimes it’s just best to say nothing.

WHAT DID MINDLESS BEHAVIOR SAY ABOUT LAURYN HILL?

Actually the joke came via group member Ray Ray.  When the group came to the stage to make the award announcement Mike Epps was jokingly singing bad.  Ray Ray then says,

“You sing bad,” he said. “Like Lauryn Hill tax accountant bad.”

That’s it.  Everyone got bent out of shape but remember not only are these boys only kids, but they also don’t do the writing for the award show, not to mention there are rehearsals as well so everyone who was part of the show played a part in the joke.

At the end of the day, it’s a joke…..and hill didn’t pay her taxes.

Mindless Behavior apologized twice and hopefully that will be enough.

During an appearance on BET they said,

I want to apologize about the Lauryn Hill joke, I didn’t mean no harm by it. I hope everyone can forgive me. It was like a big thing on Twitter and everything, so I truly apologize. I respect Lauryn Hill and all of them like that.”

On their twitter account,

we meant no disrespect to our girl Lauryn Hill last night, it was a bad joke. we’re big fans and hope you’re not mad! #peace -MB.

Hopefully that will be enough.  It should be more than enough….and Lauryn, PAY YOUR DAMN TAXES!

I don’t understand why in the hell Russell would be funding their lifestyle.  Kimora makes a ton of mon and I’m assuming Dijmon’s African ass is pullin’ in a decent check…Right?  Right?

The first signs of financial issues came when Kimora put her 6 bedroom Beverly Hills home up for sale…..at a loss.  She paid $5.9 and listed it for $4.7 (and will probably sell it for 4.5) .  When she got wind of the rumors she attempted to stop them  via a tweet,

“Wow, I put 1 of several properties I own (+ DONT live in) on the market & now apparently my whole life is fallin apart?! Rumors, Rumors …”

In regards to the relationship between Hounsou and Kimora no one would comment directly on their relationship at all.  Djimon’s rep simply said,

“Djimon’s been working in Vancouver for the past few months.”

NOW FOR THE CHEATING………….ENTER KOLA BOOF….

Who is Kola Boof?? Good question.  She supposedly was one of Osama Bin laden’s sex slaves.  She is probably one of the most controversial authors to come to light in the last 10 years.  She’s a huge Sudanese-Egyptian  woman with a big mouth and no filter.  I can go on and on but you get the picture…..

She claims that she is the reason that Simmons and Hounsou broke up.  A source told the NY Post to contact Boof based on some tweets that she wrote back in January of this year.  When Boof was contacted she had no problem admitting that she is indeed the reason or at least part of the reason for the break up,

“I am the reason that they broke up.”

“I have slept with Djimon Hounsou throughout his marriage to Kimora Lee Simmons,”

“I don’t think it’s a secret to people in Los Angeles.”

“because I had just lost my husband. We were lonely and intended to have sex only once, but then we had chemistry and became addicted.”

AND ALSO FOR REVENGE….FOR WHAT?  SHE WON’T SAY….

 “I am not in love with Djimon Hounsou & he is not in love with me,” she wrote. “The only reason I had sex with him was to get revenge on Kimora.”

“Kimora nearly destroyed my life and my children’s lives,”

“She is a lecherous, two-faced, money-obsessed witch and a delusional snob.”

When questioned on what exactly did Kimora did to her, Boof suddenly became short on words,

“It’s just too much,”

HOW DID THE ACCIDENT OCCUR?

Not a complex story at all.  She simply ran into the back of An 18 wheeler in L.A.  She was driving down the Pacific Coast Highway where she claims the big rig cut her off.  She was on her way to the movie set of her latest project Liz & Dick, a movie in which she will be playing Elizabeth Talyor.

Preliminary investigations show no wrong doing on Lindsay’s part and she didn’t appear to be under the influence.

The best part is, her assistant was also in the car with her but it seems like no one could care less.  This looks like a texting accident to me because it’s not a side swipe but a person who hit the brakes too late because they weren’t paying attention.

I just hope that she signed up for the extra insurance, the Porsche was a rental!

Remember that from Sienfeld? “You better give me the insurance because I’m going to beat the hell out of this car”

This is the first time that I actually ever thought of Hugh Hefner as a tool. I know how he has the bunnies on his mansion an he pays for them etc. etc. That’s kind of “toolish” but he has the money and it’s just what he does. But taking this chick back….Come on Hef!

Don’t you remember she said he only lasted 2 seconds in bed and they only had sex once? She said that he didn’t even get completely naked.

HOW DID THEY RECONCILE?

Well Hugh took to twitter to explain,

“It’s Mary O’Conner that brought Crystal Harris back. Crystal was miserable & said so. Mary told Crystal to write & tell me, which she did,”

Of course Harris was on top of the world and she also took to twitter to tell the world,

“Happy to be back home at the Playboy Mansion with @hughhefner and our puppy Charlie. I missed all the love and laughs. Yes @hughhefner and I are back together. Yes I am his #1 girl again. Yes we are happy. Hope that clears up any confusion! Xo.”

I’m not sure who the number one girl was before but she has been replaced. I’m not sure if that causes any animosity but I would be super pissed. Hef seems to think everything in the mansion is under control. He also tweeted,

Shera & my other Mansion girlfriends welcomed Crystal here at dinner on Tuesday night, before playing games together. Getting back together with Crystal Harris shouldn’t be a big surprise, since I have a history of remaining close to former girlfriends.”

I’m not sure what he sees in Crystal but that 2 seconds of living he got from her that one time but have blew his mind!!

It says “Lideres” which means Leader in Spanish.  It’s totally unnecessary, but that is what art is all about, right? The video is decent and the song is decent.  Depending on your genre of music.  The Reggaeton duo of Wisin & Yandel also lend their sound to spice things up.  I like it, and J-Lo looks damn good for any age, but for 42 she’s amazing.   Guess who directed it?  Casper “the very” Smart!

The reason I’m rejoicing is because it dethrones Nicki Minaj and that stupid Hoe’s, “Stupid Hoe” video by just .1 million.  Minaj had 1.8 million views which was then the highest VEVO number.

Bieber’s released his Boyfriend video which I expect when the numbers come in, might easily take Rihanna record..however Beiber doesn’t have the mass appeal that Rihanna does.

Rihanna was notified that she was the queen of Vevo via a tweet directly from them,

“NUMBERS ARE IN! After filtering out the BS & triple-checking, @Rihanna #WHYBvideo24hrRECORD stands @ 4,937,281! Congrats!” VEVO tweeted. “@Rihanna love this s**t! Congrats to you and the Navi.”
