Even After He Tweets and Apology Daniel Tosh Takes Heat for Rape Joke
Hate those damn bloggers.
Daniel Tosh was the victim of a Tumblr. There was a rape joke incident at the “Laugh Factory” and thanks to the wonderful world of Tumblr we got to hear all about it.
During his set Daniel Tosh says that Rape Jokes are funny. Someone (we will call her Ms. Tumblr) yells from her seat,
“rape jokes are never funny!”
Never provoke a comic. He has a microphone and you don’t. Tosh took it on as a challenge. He replies back,
‘Wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now? Like right now? What if a bunch of guys just raped her…’
That’s it. That was the end of the story because Ms. Tumblr got the hell out of there. As she says in her own words,
I, completely stunned and finding it hard to process what was happening but knowing I needed to get out of there, immediately nudged my friend, who was also completely stunned, and we high-tailed it out of there. It was humiliating, of course, especially as the audience guffawed in response to Tosh, their eyes following us as we made our way out of there. I didn’t hear the rest of what he said about me.”
Somehow that blog gained traction. (I wish I knew because I could use some traction….wtf!) So much traction that Tosh himself noticed it and issued a Twology (An apology on twitter). He writes,
“All the out of context misquotes aside, I’d like to sincerely apologize,” he tweeted to his 6,139,000 followers. “The point I was making before I was heckled is there are awful things in the world but you can still make jokes about them.”
Of course, now it’s a big deal and a self-initiated apology is now not enough. Here comes the RAINN with their act. A spokesperson for the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network wrote in Fox411’sPops Tarts column,
“When will this ‘funny man’ realize that rape jokes aren’t funny? By suggesting that an audience member deserved to be gang raped, Tosh took his shtick to a new low. Applause is due to the woman who had the guts to vocalize what many in room were thinking,”
However, “Laugh Factory” owner Jamie Masada, who was reportedly present during the showdown, has a slightly different version of events, telling Buzzfeed that he asked the audience what they wanted to talk about, and one viewer piped up “rape.”
“Daniel came in, and he said, ‘Well it sounds like she’s been raped by five guys’ – something like that. I didn’t really hear properly”
He then said that she didn’t get up and leave but stayed for the entire act and then complaine afterward.
But according to Ashley-Michelle Arnold, a webmaster for a message board for rape victims, is not enough,
“When your punch line comes from a horrific experience, there’s nothing funny about it. Right now, defenders are spinning it that the woman wasn’t really offended, as if that somehow makes it OK because she was the subject, after all. However, it doesn’t work like that; humor that trivializes what is one of the most horrific experiences a human being can inflict another doesn’t get a green pass simply because the intended target didn’t gratify Tosh’s disgusting punch line,” she said. “Comedy should be used to entertain people, and to educate them. Jokes that turn violence into a caricature do neither and, in fact, contribute to the stigma which blame survivors for being victimized and downplay how severely it can impact a life.”
I say lighten the “f” up people. He’s a comic. I’m not saying that what he did was right, I’m saying that he’s a comedian so let it go. I’m also not saying it wasn’t an awful thing to say, but he apologized. There is not more that he can do. If you don’t want to watch and support him don’t. But just putting out these statements after he’s already apologized is almost meaningless.
Mindless Behavior Continues to Apology for Lauryn Hill Tax Joke – No Apologies Should be Necessary.
Mindless Behavior took a lot of Heat for a joke they made about Lauryn Hill during their Shtick with Mike Epps while announcing the award for the best female R&B artist.
WHAT DID MINDLESS BEHAVIOR SAY ABOUT LAURYN HILL?
Actually the joke came via group member Ray Ray. When the group came to the stage to make the award announcement Mike Epps was jokingly singing bad. Ray Ray then says,
“You sing bad,” he said. “Like Lauryn Hill tax accountant bad.”
That’s it. Everyone got bent out of shape but remember not only are these boys only kids, but they also don’t do the writing for the award show, not to mention there are rehearsals as well so everyone who was part of the show played a part in the joke.
At the end of the day, it’s a joke…..and hill didn’t pay her taxes.
Mindless Behavior apologized twice and hopefully that will be enough.
During an appearance on BET they said,
I want to apologize about the Lauryn Hill joke, I didn’t mean no harm by it. I hope everyone can forgive me. It was like a big thing on Twitter and everything, so I truly apologize. I respect Lauryn Hill and all of them like that.”
On their twitter account,
we meant no disrespect to our girl Lauryn Hill last night, it was a bad joke. we’re big fans and hope you’re not mad! #peace -MB.
Hopefully that will be enough. It should be more than enough….and Lauryn, PAY YOUR DAMN TAXES!

Amar’e Stoudemire’s Derogatory Tweet is Under Investigation by the NBA
A fan named Brian Ferrelle caught Amar’e Stoudemire off guard. He sent Stoudemire a direct tweet basically talking smack to the All Star NBA player. Ferrelli sent him a direct message that said,
““You better come back a lot stronger and quicker to make up for this past season mannnnnn deadasss!!!”
So if I’m Amar’e I’m thinking, “F**k You. I don’t have to do s**t”
If Stoudemire tweeted that back, it might have not been as bad as what he actually tweeted.
F— you. I don’t have to do anything f**.’
Amarie must have gotten wind and tried to do some damage control. He quickly tweeted an apology,
“I apologize for what I said earlier. I just got off a plane and had time to think about it. Sorry bro!! No Excuses. Won’t happen again,”
This is the perfect apology. No lame excuses – straight to the point. Will it get him off the hook? Maybe. The NBA is looking into the issue which shouldn’t take long. Amar’e’s rep basically deferred the media to his apology tweet also confirming that the incident did happen and that the tweets were indeed authentic. Last year Kobe got fined by the NBA $100,000 for calling a ref the same thing.
Ferrelli has proven himself to be a good dude, just a passionate fan. He didn’t want to make this issue bigger than it already turned out. In fact he declined to comment any further on the matter and when the news contacted him for a statement he refused and replied simply with a tweet
“I don’t want to make this situation any bigger than it already is. He apologized and I accepted it,”
I’m sure Amar’e will honestly appreciate that. I see this whole incident outside of Amar’e’s character in a stretch that has the superstar in a slump. After injuring his back in a warm up dunk last year that sidelined him for 6 months and then punching a fire extinguisher after a Knicks playoff loss to The Heat, hopefully this is the end of the negative and Amar’e can start to shine again.

HBO Recalling Game of Thrones Season 1 DVD to Remove Scene of George W. Bush’s Head on a Stick!
HBO has let “Game of Thrones” push the envelope too far. They are catching some heat after a scene in which they showed a severed head of one of our US Presidents. As much as you might hope it was Obama, it was actually George W. Bush. If you have the Game of Thrones Season 1 DVD then in episode 10 you will see the GWB dome, if you haven’t made the purchase yet, it’s too late. All shipments have been held and the scene is being removed by HBO.
The shows creators David Benioff and D.B.Weiss told on themselves. In the DVD commentary they mention that the head can be seen in a few of the beheading scenes, but they insist that they were not trying to make any political statements. Basically they said the head is used because they had it in stock!
George Bush’s head appears in a couple beheading scenes, It’s not a choice; it’s not a political statement. It’s just, we had to use what heads we had around.”
The head is partially covered by a wig, but now that you know it’s there, it’s definitely George W’s head. How the heck would they just so happen to have a head around??
Simple, they needed heads, so they rented them. D.B. Weiss and Benioff explained in their apology,
We use a lot of prosthetic body parts on the show: heads, arms, etc. We can’t afford to have these all made from scratch, especially in scenes where we need a lot of them, so we rent them in bulk. After the scene was already shot, someone pointed out that one of the heads looked like George W. Bush. In the DVD commentary, we mentioned this, though we should not have. We meant no disrespect to the former president and apologize if anything we said or did suggested otherwise.”
HBO then issues an apology of their own,
“We condemn it in the strongest possible terms and have halted all future shipments of the DVDs, removed it from our digital platforms and will edit the scene for all future airings on any distribution domestic or international,”
So every one is sorry.
Before you jump to the conclusion that this was Hollywood liberals, and that the entire thing was done with purpose, do remember that Thrones is made in Ireland. However, I think they knew exactly what they were doing, got to cocky and started bragging and are now paying the price!
I love how they say that someone pointed out that the head looked like George Bush as if they didn’t know.
Just where in the DVD is George W. Bush’s head? It’s episode 10 Season 1. It can be seen here at the 1:10 mark. No mistake if you ask me…what do you think?

Brian McKnight Fires Twitter Shots at Chris Brown, Floyd Mayweather, & R. Kelly. Brown Fires Back.
Brian McKnight is working hard to be relevant again. No it’s not another x-rated song it’s a twitter beef! He’s joining the ranks of Meek Mills and Drake by firing shots at Chris Brown.
The shots don’t stop there, he goes after Floyd Mayweather and R. Kelly.
McKnight went in first on Saturday Tweeting,
“Since everyone’s so opinionated I’m taking suggestions on what I should do next I’m thinking rent a lambo and beat the s**t outta my girl… That’s acceptable these days.”
Wow. Direct blow to C-breezi. McKnight didn’t stop there. He then went after R. Kelly and Flody Mayweather.
“Or maybe have sex with a 14 year old girl and film it that’s acceptable these days.”
Or let the court system let me make 35 million before I do my 87 days in a private cell for domestic abuse that’s acceptable these days.”
Of the three Celebs that were attacked, Chris brown was the only one to strike back….so far. Brown did not hold back, taking shots at McKnight, his age, and his aging career,
I see how this works now. When peoples careers get to the ‘nobody cares’ stage they use my name for publicity! Lol,”
“I can’t keep helping these old n**gas. Its miracle the way I’m bringing the dead alive! I would’ve gladly wrote you something that would make u look less irrelevant!”
I actually think Chris Brown has a point. McKnight seems to be doing everything lately except releasing hits to stay relevant. Guess what? It’s working.
McKnight was then under attack by Chris Brown’s fans who can get crazy as I well know. It’s a much younger generation as they call McKnight a one hit wonder, obviously ignorant to his years of killing the charts. He had to remind them of his 7 Platinum albums.
After fighting off fans McKnight tweeted out a general apology,
I meant no disrespect to anyone I was merely pointing out that In today’s society anything goes and WE Are all to blame the end. I wonder if this will be the end of that.

Will Smith Tells Letterman His Side of the Slap and Jokester Vitalii Sediuk Records a Video Apology[video]
After the run in this weekend with the Ukranian jokester who tried to kiss him during his Men In Black 3 promotion in Moscow, Will Smith joked about the incident on his appearance on Letterman. Letterman wasted no time in asking him about the incident. He says,
“You beat up a guy who was trying to hug you”.
Will Smith explained exactly what happened,
“I didn’t beat up a guy! No, no. I was in Moscow and … we’re doing an interview and he says, ‘Man …,’ he was a reporter and he says, ‘I’m your biggest fan, can I have a hug, please?’ So I go to give this joker a hug and he tries to lean in to kiss me, you know? And … it’s just awkward, Dave.”
Smith then goes on to say that the sponsors apologized,
“I don’t know. … They were [like] ‘We’re sorry, you know, it’s just his shtick.’ and I said, ‘That’s why his ass got shtuck.’ “
The jokester goes by the name of Vitalii Sediuk who is now getting his 15 minutes of fame. He released a video apologizing stunt saying,
I apologize for my behavior, I think it was too much. I don’t kiss every man or women when I see them in the street.
He then promised that if he saw Will Smith again, he would give Smith a handshake.
MEN IN BLACK 3
I think this incident couldn’t have come at a better time for Smith. It’s difficult to release a movie these days when The Hunger Games and The Avengers are redefining what a successful premier actually means. Men In Black 3 might have hit it right from a timing perspective with all the juice sucked out of The Avengers and Memorial Day just begging for people to hit the theaters.
When asked about the actual film, Smith seemed very satisfied with the 3rd installment of the franchise,
“The fun of [this film] is trying to make it new but not so new that it don’t match, We had to be able to create something that was brand-new, that stands on its own, and it’s been 10 years since the first movie, so there were a lot of things working against it. But it’s the first time it’s in 3-D — my ears are in 3-D for the first time, I’m very happy with it.”
Below are clips of Smith’s appearance on Letterman and Vitalii Sediuk’s apology
