George Lucas to Donate Disney Billions to Charity
A couple of days ago, I reported along with the rest of the blogging world that G.L. will be selling his company Lucasfilm to Disney for just over $4 billion. Before this extremely lucrative deal is completed, Lucas has an estimated net worth of $7.3 billion. At 64 years old, it’s hard to spend that kind of money, even if you’re name is Mike (Jordan and Vick).
So what is a man to do with an additional $4 billion?
Lucas plans to donate it to charity; or at least some of it. Lucas owns 100% of Lucasfilm so the $4 billion dollars will be all his, tipping his net worth over the $11 billion mark. Following up on a pledge that he made back in 2010, he will be donating the profits to charity. Lucas stated to the press on Wednesday,
“For 41 years, the majority of my time and money has been put into the company, As I start a new chapter in my life, it is gratifying that I have the opportunity to devote more time and resources to philanthropy.”
Lucas is founder and chairman of his own foundation called The George Lucas Educational Foundation, a charity that focuses on improving education. Lucas believes that educating is the key to human survival and progress. Back in 2006, he used this Foundation to donate $175 million to his alma mater USC. He also supports Stand Up to Cancer and Make-A-Wish foundation.
TVST has reached out to Lucas to see if he wants to donate some funds to the HABO (Help A Brother Out) foundation. We have started and continue to educate others by the School of Hard Knocks. As of press time we have not heard back from Lucas or his people.
Tony Bennett Sketch of Lady Gaga Up For Sell On Ebay – Bids Starting at $5k
This is the photo that Lady Gaga supposedly got n*ked for. She posed for this while Tony Bennett sketched her in all her glory.
‘I walked in and said “Well Tony here we are,” and I dropped my robe and I got into position. I felt shy and thought “It’s Tony Bennett, why am I naked?”‘
This thing…excuse me…this work of art is on Ebay for $5000. It comes with a photograph taken by Annie Leibovitz, signed copies of the original works, accessories from the Vanity Fair official photo shoot and a Vanity Fair magazine signed by Lady Gaga.
That’s a good haul for $5 G’s. Remember, that’s just the starting price, it’s $7000 at the time of this post.
The proceeds will to the Exploring the Arts; Tony Bennett’s charity and Lady Gaga’s charity, The Born This Way Foundation.
The auction on Ebay is scheduled to close on December 19, 2011.
The seller of the auction is Bennett_gaga. They have a store set up with items signed and also being sold for their charity.
I’m not sure how much this will go for, but rest assure it’s not because it’s a great work of art, but it’s because it’s Tony Bennett.
In case you are looking for a good Christmas present, here is the link to the auction.

Ricky Gervais is Unapolagetic for his Use of the Word “Mong”
It’s weird that this isn’t really getting that much press here in the states. I think that’s actually a good thing. It implies that we can finally take a joke. Very similar to Gilbert Gottfried, Gervais is a comedian, that is crass, blunt and funny. For you to take to heart anything he says, you are the real fool.
He is under severe attack for using the word “Mong” in jokes online and on twitter. Disability groups and Down Syndrome advocates are up and arms and pissed about phrases used such as:
“two mongs don’t make a right” and “good monging everyone”.
Gervais basically explains that he is not referring directly to children with Down’s Syndrome, explaining that it just means an idiot. He even goes as far as tweeting a link to an online slang dictionary. He says words change meanings all the time and points out the term Gay.
Penny Green, director of the Down’s Heart Group charity, was not buying Gervais’ explanation.
‘I refute his suggestion that the word has changed its meaning.
‘We come across people every day who still think the term applies to people with Down’s.
His actions have proved incredibly upsetting and distressing to families of disabled children, as we’ve seen on Twitter and our own forums.
Ricky is telling everyone it’s acceptable to use this derogatory term.’
Responding to an online poll about whether the word was offensive, he tweeted:
“The humorless PC brigade have been out in force trying to influence the vote with ill informed negative comment.”
“Dear fans. Don’t give the haters any attention. Those people aren’t really offended by the things I say – they are offended by my success.”
His fans won’t care, I being one of them. Although I understand how offensive this word can be, a comedian is a comedian, and in fact Gervais twitter following has increased by 10,000 since the attack begin. Keep it up and the guy will have more people saying Monger then using iPhones.
I think Ricky Summed it up best:
Life’s short. Chill-ax!

Russell Taylor’s Lawyer says that Taylor Armstrong’s Abuse Pictures are Fake!
This is a little interesting……
His name is Ronald Richards. He tells TMZ that the pictures of Taylor Armstrong all lumped up, are phony.
How does he say the injury occurred?
He says that they are either a plastic surgery incident or getting hit with a football. What is this, Brady Bunch?
Richards says,
‘If Mr. Armstrong was the cause of those injuries he would have been arrested and prosecuted,’
Is this guy serious? What about the charges of battery from his first wife? What about the allegations that he beat the kids? …and I’m crossing “plastic surgery incident” off the list.
Then you have to look at it from another angle…
If you watched the show, you have to admit that she didn’t act like your typical abused housewife. She deliberately went against Russell wishes when she gave away the dog he brought for their daughter. This is something that an abused wife would never do. She was a volunteer at a domestic abuse charity and never reached out for help. Her name is still on all the fraud allegations charges, could this be away of her trying to disassociate herself from Russell? To show evidence that she didn’t know what was going on, now that Russell is dead there is no one to refute these allegations….so she thought. Not to mention, ET paid Taylor Armstrong six figures for exclusive rights to the photo.
Why would this Richards, come out and defend a dead guy if he didn’t believe in what he was saying.
The plot thickens!!
