Why DJ Khaled Facing Eviction Just Really Doesn’t Matter.
Today we hear that DJ Khaled owes his landlord money and is facing evicton. Not just a few months’ rent, but serious cheese Khaled rented the place back in September and agreed to make two payments of $66,000 each. The first payment was made, but not the second. They retracted the deal so that $11,000 could be paid at once and then the rest a month later. After failing to make the last payment of the remaining $55,000, Khaled was asked to leave but has refused so the landlord is having him evicted.
This isn’t really news. .
While it’s not entirely clear, what Khaled actually does on these mega hits, that he screams over, he is banking hard. He has been a part of some of the biggest hip hop bangers in recent history but doesn’t write, or produce, instead he just “gathers” and gather he has done. He has five studio albums and 3 platinum singles and one gold.
DJ Khaled is worth, believe it or not $30.5 million dollars. Yes that’s an estimate, but he’s not only a DJ, producer and radio host, he is president of Def Jam South as well.
I’m sure he has a few homes and wasn’t thinking twice about this landlord or his apartment. He has people who think about those things for him. Filing the suit is just a way of getting Khaled’s attention which happens all the time.
I repeat, this isn’t really news. .
Khaled’s heavily anticipated sixth studio album Kiss the Ring is due out August 21.

Ramona Parker aka Ms. Melodie of Boogie Down Productions has Died
Yes I know she’s old school, but Daym! That’s Ms. Melodie. For those who don’t know she was once married to the legendary KRS One who was one of the founding members of Boogie Down Productions.

HOW DID MISS MELODIE DIE?
We will fill this in when more news comes. Right now there is now cause of her death being cited or how she was found.
By main stream media standards, she was actually not really known for much more than that and perhaps her verse in the classic hit “Self Destruction”. She was like the first lady in Hip Hop back when KRS-One had the game on lock. Seriously, KRS-One used to be in every discussion as the best rapper alive.
In 1988 she released her first single, “Hype According to Ms. Melodie” and she actually released an entire album produced by her the husband entitled “Diva”. That all led to her “Self Destruction” verse and then later another infamous verse with Queen Latifah on “Ladies First”.
You have to remember, this was a time where there were only a few studios, only a few albums being dropped an even fewer female artists. Each cameo and each verse was groundbreaking.
Hip Hop legend D-Nice, who is now a photographer and a world renown DJ had a conversation with Ms. Melodie only a few weeks ago, theurbandaily reports that D-Nice said,
“I had a pleasant conversation w/ Ms. Melodie a month ago. The last thing she said me to me was “I’m proud of you.” The love we all had for each other was genuine. Along the way, some of us lost focus. The love in my heart remained. Scott La Rock, KRS-One, D-Nice, Ms Melodie, & the rest of the BDP crew will always be a part of hip-hip history.”
Ms. Melodie is survived by her two sons. Rest in peace Ms. Melodie and condolences to the Parker family.

Biz Markie is Killing it With Yo Gabba Gabba.
In case you were wondering what happened to Biz? Yo Gabba Gabba – That’s what happened to Biz.
TMZ found Biz on the street and released a clip that got Biz’s name back in the news and all the blogs.
WHAT HAS BIZ BEEN DOING?
Biz was DJ’ing for Chris Rock on his “No Apologies” Tour. Then he started doing Radio Shack Commercials.
While doing all that he’s also been killin’ it with “Yo Gabba Gabba”. During an interview with wvgazette.com, Biz explained that he got out of hip hop because things got dark,
It got dark. I got out of hip-hop because it wasn’t the same as when I started. I’m not knocking the rest of them [rappers], but I didn’t like where hip-hop was going, so I moved on to other things.”
In his journey away from Hip Hop he was snatched up by the kids show “Yo Gabba Gabba” and has never looked back.
IT’S WHO YOU KNOW…..
The theme of the show involves a DJ named Lance Rock. He uses his radio to bring alien like creatures to life. These creatures teach kids valuable lessons like eating well and brushing your teeth. The show has over 50 episodes produced and is in it’s fourth season. Biz actually knew the creators of the show and they asked him to come down for an audition for a dance segment. Biz’s back was out and he couldn’t dance so he did what he does best, “He made the music, with his Mouth” and the rest was history. As Biz tells the story to spinner back in 2010
I knew the creators, they’d told me to come in [to audition for a segment called] ‘Dance of the Day,’ but my back was hurting. So I made up ‘Biz’s Beat of the Day’ right there.”
Biz’s Beat of the Day is a regular segment, so much so that Biz has been on tour with the Gabba Gabba crew since 2010. In pure Wiggles fashion, Yo Gabba Gabba does a live tour with DJ Lance, Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee, Plex and Biz. Due to the many hip hop connections of its creators there are always special guests during the shows, like Talib Kweli, Sarah Silverman or the Roots.
At age 46 Biz knew that his time for “rapping” had expired and was smart enough to transition when he saw the opportunity,
Hip-hop isn’t what it used to be, I guess we got older. It evolved into something else. Some of the veteran rappers can’t be new-school rappers. It’s like in baseball — old players retire and coach, or become batting instructors.”
I just wish some other rappers could heed that advice. #toooldtoberapping

Drake, Chris Brown and Meek Mills Fight it Out at WIP’s in SOHO. What Really Happened?
Some of us are thinking that Chris Brown got just what he deserved, others are feeling bad, the remaining people are just torn. I have to say most people who are Chris Brown fans love Drake and vice versa.
The whole thing went down at WIP in SoHO. The event was to celebrate Teyana Taylor’s G.O.O.D. music signing party. The incident happened right after last call at 3:50 AM.
Details of the fight itself are really really sketchy however me being an NYC cat I actually have a lot more details on this whole incident than most. Yes there were a lot of so called celebs in the house. Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Fab and of coure Meek Mill, Drake and Chris Brown. Mills runs with Philly cats and they were definitely with him that night.
The DJ sees Drake and shouts him out,
“DRAKE IS IN THE HOUSE!”
Drake heads off to the VIP section with his boys. The DJ is spinning Drake and Meek Mills tracks and drake is dancing on a table. Then all of a sudden he puts on a Chris Brown record and Drake stops dancing. He gets off the table and says,
Naw I don’t f**k with that n**ga.
Of course he is still bitter over the whole Rihanna Marvin’s room beef.
Drake is now near Chris Brown and Breezi then starts talking smack. Allegedly (and I say allegedly) Drake grabs a bottle and throws it at Chris Brown, just like “Basketball Wives”. That sets everything off.
Drake runs to the bathroom to take cover. Meek Mills and his Philly boys get right into the thick of things. Breezi’s security did exactly what they were paid to do and got his girlfriend Karrueche Tran out of the club.
Chris Brown then yelled,
P**y A$$ N**a Hiding in the Bathroom.
This situation was no joke.
Breezi had a gash on his chin, not really a big deal but a picture of his injured bodyguard shows just how real things got.
There was no one arrested and Drake, Meek Mills and Brown broke out and were nowhere to be found when the police arrived.
BROWNS INJURED BODY GUARD “BIG PAT”
Brown took to twitter to bitch about the incident after posting a picture of himself with a busted chin. The tweets and the photo have been removed, but just like anything, once on the internet always on the internet. I suspect, Brown still being on parole removed the pictures as to not foolishly incriminate himself.

Drakes’ rep has already started with the defense tactics, probably because of the serious injuries of Brown’s bodyguard. He released a statement saying that Drake was just leaving the club when everything went down,
“[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”
“Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began.”
What is rep should have said is that Drake is hiding in the bathroom like a little b*tch in Stall 2 with his feet up. This is infuriating because two of the bitchiest people in the game causing this much ruckus. This is not a joke, and people have been hurt. It’s time to squash the beef and move on. There is too much money to be made. Period!

DMX almost Choked Out on Stage – but Keeps Performing [video clip]
Earl Simmons aka Dark Man X, or we know him simply as DMX is back. He’s performing these days, trying to make some money, but it looks like he’s in some shady-a$$ places on some small a$$ stages.
You ask why do stars always have so much security? The clip below shows you exactly why. DMX is starting out his set, and all of a sudden, this dude just pops up on stage like Little Mama. Security approaches and he goes after DMX, and as he is getting grabbed up by security, he goes for DMX’s throat. He gets both hands on the neck before security yanks his a$$ down.
As much time as DMX has spent locked up, a day like that in prison is called simply “Tuesday”. In jail all kinds of crap like that happens everyday. If you don’t believe me, watch DMX. He looks at the DJ, tells him to keep playing because,

It’s sad to see how far his star has falling, we are going crazy off of Katy Perry and Rihanna sales, even though digital media was just getting started DMX had a crazy album run:

- Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood 1998 (Same Year!!) – 3 Times Platinum (US Alone)
- And then there was X 1999 – 6 Times Platinum (US Alone)
With three more albums after that and a half a dozen movies, X should be retired counting stacks. Instead he’s doing the chitlins’ circuit, fighting off attacks! SMH!

AfroJack Dumps Paris Hilton Although they Both Try to Deny They Were Ever Together.
For one I was surprised when Afrojack moved into Paris’ mansion this year. In the past Paris has said many racist comments that led me to believe that she would never date a black guy, let alone one that went by the name of “Afrojack”.
From all reports she was all in. A source tells Radar Online,
He’s only 24, she’s 31. He’s Pauly D status, he’s literally one of the Worlds most famous DJ’s and being attached to Paris really served him no benefit.
THE TWO WERE NEVER REALLY DATING
Sources are now saying, despite Afro jack living in her place, the two were never really dating. They say that the two were just really good friends. In an exclusive story written by Us weekly the Paris rep states that,
Paris and Afrojack are best friends and love and support each other very much. Nothing has changed.
Paris followed that up with a tweet:
Ok, I’m really good friends with my ex, that doesn’t mean she didn’t dump me. Let’s see if Afrojacks magic can help Paris soon to be released album to follow up the 197,000 copies of her first solo album.
