Drake Rains $50,000 in the Club, How Much Money is that in Your Salary? We do the Math.
Drake continues to be an idiot or maybe not.
The MC was at a club in Charlotte and managed to spend $50,000…by making it rain.
I tried to stretch my imagination and come up with some kind of rationale that would make me throw $50,000 in the air for a bunch of people to grab. Forget the fact that picking up ones from the ground is degrading…money is money. If you throw $50,000 in the air, I think I’m picking up as many bills as I can. I will feel bad about myself later.
This was something that Drake had planned before he arrived as he showed up with the money in cardboard boxes. He literally threw $50,000 one dollar bills as it appears from the picture. The floor was literally covered in money when it was all said and done.
BUT HE’S RICH…RIGHT?
Yes Drake is wealthy. In fact he’s worth an estimated $25 million dollars. Let’s do some quick math. How much is that $50,000 equivalent in your world.
The average net worth in the US is $77,300. Let’s raise that to $100,000 to make the numbers easy. Your $100,000 is compared to Drake’s $25,000,000. That means 1 dollar to you is equal to $250 dollars to Mr. Drake. So him spending $50,000 is like you spending $200.
Now ask yourself would you go to the strip club and drop $200? Maybe you have. I haven’t and never will, but $200 suddenly doesn’t seem that bad. It’s a hard concept for the working man to grasp because we quickly switch our minds to the job we hate, the rent that has to be paid, or the starving man that you just gave a $1.00 to. We do that because we are not idiots and understand the value and power of money, something that Drake has long forgotten. It’s not $200 it’s $50,000 and that money could help a lot of people do good things.
In his mind, he is doing good things, he just a lot of young ladies go to college. Right Drizzy?
Are Drake and Tatyana Ali Officially Dating? Maybe.
It’s starting to look like it’s official. Tatyana Ali and Drake are a couple. Ali first made it known that she was crushing on Drake during an interview in the Huffington Post.
She said the following regarding her obsession with Drake,
If you were on a reality show, what would it be called?
“Dirty Laundry,” or “I Love Drake!” — in which I stalk him on tour and try to make him realize we’re meant to be together. God, I love his voice.
Follow that up with Drake being spotted with her at the Supperclub in LA this week. Tatyana was celebrating her birthday and reports say that Drake sent her roses and was seen kissing and hugging on her all night.
News of them being a couple hit Mediatakeout, Foxnews, and Latina.com, and everyone s embracing the possibilites of them being the next big gossip topic. However, before we march them dial he aisle we have to keep one thing in mind, Ali digs one night stands. As she told Huffington Post in the same article,
What’s your guiltiest pleasure?
Bread pudding with chocolate! And one-night stands.
Drake could just be another one on her hit list. Until Drake or Ali’s twitter account calls it official, then it’s ont official.

DMX Simply Does Not Like Drake, He Now Has a Reason.
DMX continues to Go in on Drake…hard!
I’m not sure if Drake really wants it with DMX. Although we’ve watched DMX cry like a beyoctch on TV, we also know that he’s a little off. Scratch that…he’s a lot of “off”.
When DMX was first released from prison, he was interviewed and asked some questions about Drake. That’s when we first got an indication on how he truly felt. (You can read that story and watch the video here). Now, he’s up at arms about how Drake is handling the “Aaliyah album” situation.
Before MTV’s Sway could complete his sentence about Drake, DMX interrupts (now you have to read this in your DMX voice),
“Drake! He has talent, but it’s kinda redundant, it’s kinda the same all the time to me personally. It’s an annoying sound,”
He then compared the Young Money rapper to a washing machine, and proceeded to make noises like clothes going through a rinse cycle. As the rant continued, we learned that DMX had issues that went a little deeper, or at least he now had a real reason to hate Drake. Aaliyah!
Along with many others, DMX is upset by the way Drake just “Mandingo’d” the whole Aaliyah project. He literally just took over, and put himself on the first single. Darkman X-man had a lot to say about that.,
“I’m kinda feelin’ some kinda a way about the fact that you been commissioned, that you been blessed, you’ve been given the opportunity to do the Aaliyah album yet you don’t include anybody that she worked with personally,”
“I’ma tell you why I’m mad, son,”
“How do you disregard what this woman did? What this beautiful angel did and say, ‘Oh OK, I’m gonna take it for myself because I’m hot right now and I’m feelin’ myself,’” he asked rhetorically. “How do you just go there with it? Your balls ain’t that big, son.”
So far there has been crickets from Drake’s camp. Nada. I think he will probably let record sales, tours and the music charts do the talking for him. If that’s the case, then Drake is doing all the barking for now. DMX’s released is seventh studio album, “Undisputed” on September 11th

Jay-Z Teams up With Ron Howard For A “Made in America” Documentary
Earlier this year, Jay Z announced that he would be teaming up with Live Nation, Budweiser and Ticketmaster to create a music festival like no other. This festival we now know as “Made in America” and we also know there are some great music festivals so out doing them all is a tall order.
Hov has been putting in a lot of work in order to make this event a success. We’ve seen him in Phili promoting the event and we hear that the lineup of artists is just sick, spreading across all genre of music: Drake, Janelle Monae, Pearl Jam, Alesso, Run-DMC, Rick Ross, Odd Future and more. The event is to span over two days, September 1st and 2nd.
If you were wondering just how much work it takes to pull something like this together, you will soon find out. Ron Howard is on board to direct the documentary. Howard has somehow infused himself into the hip hop game. Do you remember his cameo in the “Blame It” video with Forest Whitaker and Samuel L. Jackson? He is now and honorary brother!
The documentary will be a journal of Jay-Z’s life while pulling together this event. Howard’s business partner and producer Brian Grazer says,
“The festival showcases 20 pre-eminent artists that speak to the new generation. I am producing the film with Steve Stoute and Jay. Ron is directing. It is going to be born through Jay-Z’s perspective, how he puts the event together.”
The documentary will have interviews with artists and will feature some full length performances as well. It appears Jay Z has put together an A-team, let’s see if he can deliver to all the hype. Made in America is only less than 4 weeks away!

Chris Brown Releases Drake Diss Track Continuing the Beef that Should just Go Away!
This has to be the lamest beef in the industry. It’s more annoying then entertaining. I mean really.
Apparently Brown has released a Drake track over Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like” instrumental.
By now we all know that Chris Brown can spit a few bars or two showing that he is a mediocre MC at best but going against Drake, who doesn’t battle rap at all, mediocre is good enough. I guess in today’s industry in general, mediocre is what sells records (that and an Australian woman saying “Maybach Music”).
We all know the back story, so here are the lyrics from Brown’s diss verse.

Ok, I did laugh at the eyebrow line. “Yikes” is just a funny word. But seriously , this entire beef is pathetic. Two super soft dudes trying to be hard. Remember Drake is still that dude in the wheel chair from Degrassi High. Chris Brown is the dude that beats up girls in private and cries on stage like a b*tch in public.
Both of these cats are already overexposed and it’s caused some “not” so rich people to get hurt and a club owners to possibly lose their business.
If they were truly stand up guys, with as much money as they claim to have, how about giving the owner of WIP some help. Since the incident the owners have not only lost their liquor license but they are also being sued for $20 million due to injuries that NBA star Tony Parker received to his eye that will most likely prevent him from competing in this summers Olympic games. All of that is a lot bigger then Rihanna – don’t you think?
