Ramona Parker aka Ms. Melodie of Boogie Down Productions has Died
Yes I know she’s old school, but Daym! That’s Ms. Melodie. For those who don’t know she was once married to the legendary KRS One who was one of the founding members of Boogie Down Productions.

HOW DID MISS MELODIE DIE?
We will fill this in when more news comes. Right now there is now cause of her death being cited or how she was found.
By main stream media standards, she was actually not really known for much more than that and perhaps her verse in the classic hit “Self Destruction”. She was like the first lady in Hip Hop back when KRS-One had the game on lock. Seriously, KRS-One used to be in every discussion as the best rapper alive.
In 1988 she released her first single, “Hype According to Ms. Melodie” and she actually released an entire album produced by her the husband entitled “Diva”. That all led to her “Self Destruction” verse and then later another infamous verse with Queen Latifah on “Ladies First”.
You have to remember, this was a time where there were only a few studios, only a few albums being dropped an even fewer female artists. Each cameo and each verse was groundbreaking.
Hip Hop legend D-Nice, who is now a photographer and a world renown DJ had a conversation with Ms. Melodie only a few weeks ago, theurbandaily reports that D-Nice said,
“I had a pleasant conversation w/ Ms. Melodie a month ago. The last thing she said me to me was “I’m proud of you.” The love we all had for each other was genuine. Along the way, some of us lost focus. The love in my heart remained. Scott La Rock, KRS-One, D-Nice, Ms Melodie, & the rest of the BDP crew will always be a part of hip-hip history.”
Ms. Melodie is survived by her two sons. Rest in peace Ms. Melodie and condolences to the Parker family.

Beyonce’s Reveals Exclusive Concert Footage Along with How Much Weight She Lost! [video]
For those of us who actually believe that Beyonce was indeed pregnant, she revealed to her audience during her concert that she lost a total of 60 lbs.
She just finished the 2nd night of her Atlantic City comeback shows where she is due to perform two more times. Not only did Jay-Z, her hubby make it back from his tour in London to see her performance, but she also performed in front of first lady and huge fan Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha.
During her performance Beyonce told the audience that dropping the baby weight was not easy,
‘Y’all have no idea how hard I worked,’ the 30-year-old told her fans. ‘I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!’
PAUSE…..
Granted she worked hard, but she had Macro Borges (personal trainer to the stars) living with her! I just have to shout out to the regular moms I see in the my gym, EATING LETTUCE, and using the broken down treadmills while being gawked at by middle aged, beer bellied men, and judged by 22 year old beyatches who think they will never get fat. That’s puttin’ in work.

She also told the audience that she is going to splurge after the concert,
‘Now tonight I’m gonna get chocolate wasted!’
After her performance Jay-Z tweeted,
‘I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine. BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.’
By all reports the 5500 fans packed that packed Ovation hall as well as critics alike agree with Jay-Z. If you think that getting chocolate wasted will ruin her figure think twice. A Beyonce concert is quite the workout. I think she can afford the calories.

Robert De Niro is Taking Heat from All Sides for his “White First Lady” Remark, Newt Gingrich is Now Pissed!

WHAT DID ROBERT DE NIRO ACTUALLY SAY ABOUT THE WHITE FIRST LADY?
During A fundraiser in New York Tuesday night, attended by the current first lady herself, Robert De Niro opened his speech with what some people think were very in appropriate remarks.
“Callista Gingrich, Karen Santorum, Ann Romney. Now do you really think our country is ready for a white first lady? Too soon, right?”
GINGRICH GETS PISSED
Gingrich in his typical D-bag fashion took things to the next level,
I do want to say one thing, both on behalf of my wife and on behalf of Karen Santorum and on behalf of Ann Romney, I think that Robert De Niro’s wrong, I think the country is ready for a new first lady and he doesn’t have to describe it in racial terms.”
“But this is not about the first lady, It’s about the president. That’s where De Niro missed the whole point. De Niro is rich enough he probably doesn’t notice the price of gasoline. He’s successful enough he probably doesn’t notice the unemployment rate. As the Hollywood actor, he might well be shortsighted enough he doesn’t understand what it might do to our children and our grandchildren.
Ok, so I get it, and I might agree with Newt, but then he gets a little crazy, he says that Obama should personally apologize for the incident,
“What De Niro said last night was inexcusable and the president should apologize for him. It was at an Obama fundraiser, it is exactly wrong, it divides the country,
If people on the left want to talk about talk show hosts, then everybody in the country should hold the president accountable when someone at his event says something that is utterly and terrible unacceptable as what Robert De Niro said,
SANTORUM DOESN’T BITE!
Santorum’s approach was much more realistic,
It’s just someone from Hollywood or someone from the entertainment industry just spouting off as they do, It’s sad, but I’m not going to bite on that one. It’s just sad. The idea of looking at politics through eyes of race should be over. That’s just over. I don’t know where he thinks he’s coming from.”
Exactly Rick. De Niro should be looked at as a Hollywood figure, period. If we get too crazy with stuff like this then it will never stopped. Jabs by non-political public figures is what recent elections have been about.

There you have it. Newt’s big issue, or my issue with Newt Gingrich is that his criticisms of Obama all come at things that can and will be fixed possibly even before the election. Unemployment is down, and once gas prices drop then Newt will be out of gas.
I am however glad to see that Newt and Rick are not looking at things through colored glasses.

Ellen Challenges Michelle Obama to a Push Up Contest – The Two Battle it Out Side by Side [video]
Michelle Obama vs Ellen DeGeneres – who’s your money on for the most push ups?? Looking at the first lady’s guns, I would put my money on M.O. all day long.
Michelle says she works out about an hour and a half every day. Ellen asks her if an hour of that was on her arms. I agree, let’s face it, Michelle Obama has some guns.
Ellen challenges the first lady to do more pushups then her. Michelle playfully says, it depends on your back because I know you have back issues. The crowd loves it.
The two decide to do push-ups side by side, while the crowd counts off. They are doing full, men pushups. Not the kind with their knees on the floor – full, body-extended push-ups. Ellen at age 54 and Michelle Obama at age 48 – if you think about, it’s pretty amazing. You wouldn’t see Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush or Hilary Clinton knockin’ down push ups on daytime TV.
Ellen stops at around 16 and Michelle powers through to 25 before stopping. 16 is pretty amazing for a woman, but a 54 year old woman? I guess all that dancing has done wonders for Ellen’s strength. Barack might be the one running the country, but with those guns, Michelle is running the White House!
