Is Simon Cowell Done with Britney Spears?
Reports from Billboard and Us Weekly say that Cowell is done with Britney Spears. The complaints are simply that she is boring. She spent the whole season giving “half claps” and saying “amazing”. That was it. She did very little to earn her $15 million dollar single season paycheck.
A source says that Cowell wanted crazy Britney and instead he got boring Britney, and he paid a hell of a lot for boring Britney.
This seems to be exactly the opposite of how Britney feels. She says that she loves the show and will definitely be back for a second season. She just assumed that she would be asked back!
The chopping block for the USA version of “The X Factor” is filled with heads: Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul, Cheryl Cole, L.A. Reid, and now maybe Britney’s. (Reid did leave on his own accord. )
Back in May, I said that Britney wasn’t worth the money, remember?
In my opinion her $15 Million dollar contract will ruin this entire endeavor in terms of profitability. Just think Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger received $2.5 Million and $1.5 Million respectively. You are going to pay a “has been” Spears who hasn’t proven herself yet in this genre of television more then 4 times what you paid judges who have experience in this area. $15 Million for Mariah Carey or Beyonce seemed a tad high but acceptable, for Spears it’s jut plain ludicrous. The winner receives $5 million so before the first performance the entire production is in the hole $20 Million.
I stand by my own quote. GHTFOH!! With the second season finale only being watched by 9.6 million viewers, down 18 percent from the first season finale, Cowell better do something fast.

Piers Morgan Says Rihanna Needs to Grow Her Hair Back!
Not everyone was digging Rihanna’s new doo that she rocked during MTV’s Video Music Awards last week. This included some unlikely fans such as one, Piers Morgan.
I thought the cut was nothing out of the ordinary for her. In fact she looked damn good, Piers Morgan disagreed. He was so put off by the cut, that he tweeted and quickly found himself trending as Rihanna and her 25 Million plus twitter followers had something to say about his comment.
As usual, Rihanna handled the comment with a very lady like comment as you can see from the twitter conversation below:
“@piersmorgan: ps I think @rihanna needs to grow her hair back. Fast.” grow a dick….. FAST!!!!
— Rihanna (@rihanna) September 9, 2012
This a good time to ask for an interview? RT @rihanna @piersmorgan I think @rihanna needs to grow her hair back. Fast.” grow a dick.. FAST!!
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 9, 2012

— Rihanna (@rihanna) September 9, 2012
I’m now trending in the UK because @rihanna told me to ‘grow a dick…FAST!!’ Happy Sunday, everyone.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 9, 2012
Going to be one hell of an interview now @rihanna – bring your A-game, lady. #CNN
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 9, 2012
If you are like me, you are wondering why the hell Piers Morgan cares so much. Does he want to see what Drake and Chris Brown are fighting about? Maybe he wants a taste of her chocolate for himself.
As farfetched as it seems, let’s not forget Bill Maher dated Superhead? This is Hollywood, anything is possible.

Ochocinco’s wife Evelyn Lozada Breaks Her Silence on ABC’s Nightline
After a week from hell that saw Chad Ochocinco getting arrested, getting fired from the Miami Dolphins, losing a major Coconut Water endorsement, losing his reality show and then getting served divorced papers, both Chad and Evelyn both fell silent. Probably the best choice they made sense getting together.
Friday Evelyn broke the silence and revealed to Nightline why she decided to divorce Chad Ochocinco and what she sees for her future. She says walking away was super hard,
“It’s the hardest thing in the world to walk away from someone that you really love, But you have to walk away because I have to protect myself.”
“I don’t think any woman should ever have to feel like that or be fearful of her husband.”
Similar to Rihanna who expressed that she felt bad for Chris Brown on Oprah, Evelyn felt bad for Ochocinoco. She says that he’s not a bad man, he just made a bad decision.
“He’s a good guy that made a bad choice. He loves football and he’s very driven and a great dad, He made a bad choice that destroyed his life, and I hate that I’m connected to that.”
Basically nothing too surprising, let this be a lesson to those who meet via twitter, usually the person you find is a twit.
Here is a clip from Evelyn’s comments.
Review of Fox’s New Dating Shows: One Hit and One Miss
When we think about summer TV in general we usually think “Hit or Miss”. It’s a crap shoot, but it’s a hell of a lot better now then it was before. Fox rolls the dice with two dating shows, “The Choice” which I warned was coming and “Take Me Out”. Two dating shows with completely different feels to them airing back to back. Let’s start with the bad, or should I say the awful.
THE CHOICE
How this show works is simple. You have four male celebrities who cannot see their potential dates as their backs are facing the stage. The potential dates come on stage and are seen by the audience and then get to describe themselves to the celebrities. Based on the audience’s reaction and their voice and description alone if the celebrity is interested he pulls his “love handle” and turns his chair around.
Once a celebrity or two has turned their chair, then the contestant gets to choose what celebrity she wants to date. Once a celebrity has 3 women in his stable, they then eliminate one, and have a question and answer lightening round to decide between the remaining two, who they will go on their date with.
Sounds like a lot….and it is. The concept is good, but the execution is bad for reasons that would have been hard to predict.
THE GOOD
The interesting part of the show is the fact that you see how men think. Sometime the celebrities just turn around based on the crowd’s reaction. Other times you can see what the guys is thinking by the one thing that the woman says that gets him to pull the handle.
THE BAD: IT’S JUST NOT BELIEVABLE
That’s about where the fun ends. It falls apart with the celebrities. It’s hard to believe that any of these guys can’t find a date for themselves. The first episode featured, Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom, Pauly D, Romeo, and Soap Opera Star Jason Cook. ….Oh yeah, Tyson Beckford will even be on one episode. If these guys can’t find dates then there is no hope for mankind.
THE WORSE: CELEBRITIES SUCK!
The second part of the issue is that celebrities are actually boring and corny. People are pretty boring and corny in general but we expect celebrities to be witty, interesting and dynamic because their TV characters usually are. With no script in front of them, they are just like you or I and that’s a huge disappointment. This show relies way too much on the celebrities personalities to carry it and that’s where it fails, terribly.
In the lightening round where the celebs are supposed to ask the potential dates questions, this is not clear to the potential dates and sometimes they are asking the questions, or both the celeb and potential date are asking the questions to each other at the same time. It goes too fast and you get nothing from it. It is literally a train wreck.
Cat Deeley does her best as host, but the lack of personality is so obvious that it makes her job extremely difficult adding to the shows cluster. I attempted to watch the 2nd show but once the celebrities were announced and appeared even more boring than episodes one’s, I had to cut it off. Those were minutes of my life I was never going to get back.
TAKE ME OUT: A CLEAR WINNER!!
This I have to admit left me pleasantly surprised. I actually watched “the Choice” first so my expectations were just about as low as they could be for this show. Take me out is a show that started overseas that was brought to the states so the concept is proven.
How the show works, there are 30 women who all stand behind podiums that are illuminated. A guy comes down a love lift to a theme song that he has chosen. When he gets to the ground level he walks in front of the women so they can see the goods and then takes the center stage. He introduces himself and then the fun starts. After the introduction, if you are not turned on by this guy, you turn your light out. At this point a number of lights will shut off, making a video game “loser’ noise with each one.
Then the contestant gets to show a home clip of himself, usually explaining what he does for a living and his family and home life. Any time during this video clip you can turn out your light if something is not appealing.
If a man still has women with lights on, he enters round three. This round he can display a talent or show more information about his personal life. If there are any lights on after the third clip then the man has a date. If there are more then 2 lights on, the man narrows it down by shutting off the lights of the person he’s not interested in. This is all by looks at this point because very little if no conversation has been had between the contestant and his potential date. Then he gets to ask 1 question to the 2 remaining women. From their answers he chooses the dates.
This show works for many reasons. The biggest one is George Lopez. Hands down he is great. I’m not sure if he is saying to himself, “Is this what my career has come to?” Or if he is having the time of his life but it appears he enjoys it. His comedic improv is 2nd to none. When women shut their lights off, or keeps them on, he asks them why or why not, he introduces the men an basically carries the entire show on his back. He’s funny, charming and charismatic and makes you just enjoy being there. His timing is just impeccable.
The other thing that works is the show doesn’t take itself too serious. It’s cheesey but in a way that it’s embraced. When a love connection is made, a sing a long type song is played and the women, referred to as the flirty 30 do a Macarena type dance while the couple walks off.
If a male contestant doesn’t make it through round three, it’s known as a blackout. Lopez always says, “it’s not you it’s them”.
Which is just plain hilarious. The couples go to the “Take Me Out” resort and their date is recapped on the next episode.
The show is everything a summer show should be, Silly and fun. At the same time you get to also see how picky women are. You should see how many lights turn off when one guys says he likes to eat at restaurants that offer specials! Wow!
Both shows are on Thursday nights. Take Me Out is wisely first at 8:00 PM followed by The Chose at 9:00.
If you’ve seen either show leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Why Did Nicki Minaj Not Perform at Hot 97′s Summer Jam? [video]
Whey didn’t Nicki Minaj peform yesterday in Summer Jam? Because she was being a little spoiled beyatch? No because Lil Wayne was being a spoiled Beyatch!
She was basically told to back out after Rosenberg from the morning show dissed her song “Starships” at the concert. Mind you…Rosenberg has been dissing this song since before it even aired. He dissed this song before she laid tracks on the beat, but somehow this time it meant so much more.
WHAT DID ROSENBERG SAY ABOUT NICKI MINAJ?
Basically he said that Nicki Minaj Starships was not real hip hop!
“Now hold on, before I get to the real hip-hop shit of the day, because I see the real hip-hop heads sprinkled in here, I see ‘em. I know there’s some chicks here waiting to sing ‘Starships’ later, I’m not talking to y’all right now, fuck that bullsh*t. I’m here to talk about real hip-hop sh*t. People here to see A$AP Rocky today. People here to see ScHoolboy Q on this stage. That’s that sh*t I represent.”
LIL WAYNE WAS NOT HAPPY
Basically Lil Wayne drove the ship from there. He took to twitter and basically said,
“Young Money ain’t doing summer jam.”
Nicki Minaj might be a “Stupide Hoe” but she knows where her bread is buttered. She quickly got the message and hit her twitter,
“Wow. U n***az just f***ed up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB.”
“I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes,”
“Had a HELL of a f***ing lineup. But we won’t b disrespected.”
Tyga obviously didn’t get the message because he hit the stage and still did his thing.
NO APOLOGIES FROM ROSENBERG
On The morning show, after having time to sleep on things, Rosenberg stood his ground,
“Hey, I went out there, I was hosting, I was in the zone of doing real hip hop, I just said what came to mind and everyone made a big deal about it… Now the Barbz are all hitting me and asking me to apologize. There’s a get-me-to-apologize movement, to which I can say… I’m absolutely not apologizing because I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I said the same thing I’ve been saying — let’s keep it real, Nicki — I have been saying this for six months. I’m not gonna change my stance ’cause I’m at Summer Jam… I have extended the olive branch to Nicki Minaj. I have tweeted her many times. I’ve met with management. I’ve done everything I can to try to make it cool so that we could have a conversation about music. It didn’t work out.”
FLEX JUMPS IN
Flex was super heated and he had to fill in for the stars absence which he did by doing an extra long set. He also through in a few jabs or two himself,
“I ain’t f*ckin’ with commercials rappers anymore, if you lost the f*ckin’ streets, that’s your fault… I’m dedicated to tearing you down.”
At the end I have to give it to the Hot 97 crew for “keeping it real”……despite being a commercial radio station. lol.
