Jimmie Walker’s Memoirs Reveal How Leno Stole Jokes and Turned his Back on those that Helped him To Success
Jimmie Walker has released a memoir and during an interview with the NY Post he preceded to fire shots at Jay Leno giving a small taste of what is in his book. Walker basically believes that once Jay Leno made it big, he forgot about all the little people that got him there. There is a whole chapter in his memoir dedicated to “the Leno” situation.
Walker said that he is stunned and hurt at Leno’s behavior, even stating that Leno stole jokes and drove a fellow comedy writer to suicide. Walker said that Leno segregated comedy,
“Because of Jay Leno, we have changed and segregated comedy. In his however many years on the air, he has not broken one comic.”
During another interview with the Washington Post, Walker was asked if he missed his relationship with Leno. His response was,
I am extremely happy for his success. I believed in Jay Leno. I believe that Jay Leno, at one time, was one of the best comics, if not the best in America. And I made no bones about that when I would talk to Norman Lear or talk to anybody from the networks.
But his image has always been of this outgoing, great guy. Now his friends are Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks, these kinds of guys, but they weren’t with him when we were driving to Claremont or San Diego — five people in a car going to do a comedy club — they weren’t there. So it’s very disappointing that he has kind of shunned us. I don’t think he even knows our names now.
(I can’t help but read the quotes in the JJ voice).
At one time believe it or not, Jay Leno actually worked for Jimmie Walker. He was one of Walker’s joke writers earning $150 per week and even guest appeared on an episode of Good Times.
Walker’s Book: Dyn-o-Mite, The good times, Bad Times, Our Times, is available on Amazon. The most interesting thing about the memoir that Jimmie Walker was 25 Years old when he was cast to play the high aged JJ Evans making him over 30 during the airing of the final episode.
Here is Leno back in the 70′s on Good times.

The TED R-Rated Trailer – You Have to See This, it’s Super Funny!
When I heard that Mark Wahlberg was doing a comedy that involved a Teddy Bear, all I could think of are the Eddie Murphy career killers (Yeah he made a ton of money but never regained his adult core).
Then I found out that creator of The Family Guy was behind this. Then I found out it was R-rated. So I was intrigued. After I saw this trailer I was in. There is no way that you can watch this 3 minute preview without laughing. I just hope they didn’t use up all the funny parts on the trailer. Who knew a Teddy Bear could be that funny – It looks like Wahlberg holds is own against the Teddy Bear as well.
Seth Macfarlane wrote and directed the comedy and he’s the voice of Ted. The theme of the jokes follows the same comedic formula as Family Guy but Macfarlane is able to turn things up a notch. He has more time and more liberties and takes advantage of both. Mila Kunis plays Mark Wahlberg’s, love interest and it also stars my favorite underrated actor Giovanni Ribisi.
Ted Hits theaters July 13th. Here is the R-rated trailer for TED.
Trust me, you won’t be seeing this trailer on TV anytime soon.

American Idol Cliff Hanger! A Contestant Stumbles Off Stage – Funny? Nigel Lythgoe things so! [video]

American Idol Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe, who was already in the news this week for calling “The Voice” gimmicky, ends yesterday’s episode of “Idol” with a scene of someone falling off the stage.
…..if that ain’t the pot calling the kettle black!!
I’m assuming that the contestant was alright because Nigel jokes about it later on twitter.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS…..
The contestants name is Symone Black a 16 year old for Cali. She was actually quite good as she song her rendition of “Sitting on the dock of the Bay”. After her song she runs her hands through her hair, takes two baby steps forward as she starts to lose her balance, and then falls off stage.
The camera flashes and she was ooouttt!! Everyone runs over , they call for the paramedics and the credits start rolling. Drama for dat ass!!
NIGEL HITS TWITTER
Fans are getting themselves all riled up, asking Fox to issue a preshow statement. Are you serious???
Why would you tune in tonight if they did that. After hearing all the feed back, Nigel Lythgoe tweeted,
“I know you’re all going crazy, You’ll have to wait until (Thursday). That’s why I’m a mean producer.”
For those who thought it was a cliffhanger, Nigel disagrees.
”It’s not a ‘cliffhanger.’ She didn’t hang, she fell,”
I love this Nigel guy almost as much as Simon!
Here is the clip in its entirety.

Jason Derula Fractures his Neck while Practicing Acrobatics for his Act.
All we know at this time is that he was rehearsing some flips and fractured his neck.
Per his message and pic on facebook:
”I fractured my neck doing tumbling & acrobatics 4 tour! Always tryin 2 push boundaries 4 YOU! Like my new chain?
”
Now he’s seriously injured. Not this Nick Cannon, dehydration crap. He broke his neck. He’s lucky that he isn’t paralyzed. As far as the jokes are concerned…I guess it’s good to see he has his sense of humor, but then again, is it really him sending out that tweet. You know I’m always a skeptic!
Let’s hope it’s not too serious. If you are a sports fan, we see those neck braces every week during the football season, and many times it looks a lot worse than it really is. Let’s hope this is one of those cases.

Two And A Half Men’s Ratings Continue to Drop and Charlie Sheen is “Loving it”!
Two and a Half Men is not as successful as hoped, and Sheen took this opportunity to weigh in. Sheen let TMZ know exactly how he was feeling,
‘I’m extremely disappointed with how they’re handling what I left behind,
‘He’s doing the best he can, I don’t think the role is cursed.’
The show with all the hoopla and fan fare premiered at an earth shattering 27.7 million heads tuning in. Last week the numbers were down to 14.85 million.
Sheen truly hasn’t gotten what he secretly hopes for, which is slumping below the 12.7 million people average….which was his number last season. That would be just icing on Sheen’s case.
Sheen’s swag is still on high and it can be confirmed when asked about his new show, “Anger Management”
‘We’re going to start [filming] in January, he said, everything they’re not getting right now.’
THE REAL PROBLEM WITH TWO AND A HALF MEN
At first I thought the Ashton Cheating scandal was driving ratings down, but after taking an honest look at the show – it’s just not funny anymore. The jokes come off as crass and trying way too hard. The easy comedic flow between Alan, Jake and Sheen’s character just cannot be replicated with Kutcher.
Kutcher’s talents are limited and it’s obvious in this role. I never appreciated how good Charlie Sheen was until now, which makes the whole entire money earning debacle that much more of a tragedy.
Charlie will have his day, because the numbers will continue to dwindle, casual fans have dropped out and have been replaced with Kutcher fans. True fans are holding on, but it’s hard to watch your favorite show get butchered so they too will drop out. However, even at 10 million viewers per episode in today’s ratings race that’s still a great night.
