Conor McGregor Loses Big at UFC 196 but His Responses Afterward Make Him a True Champion (Video)

You can’t ask for more than that in defeat.

JOSE ALDO TAKES TO SOCIAL MEDIA

Aldo who McGregor beat back in December in just 13 seconds took to social media to rub salt in McGregor’s wounds. As a fellow fighter, I honestly think it was a bitch move. McGregor was a warrior and fought a great fight which was exciting and delivered on expectations to the fans. Unlike the 13 seconds that Aldo stood in the ring the fans actually got their money worth. Aldo could have at least given McGregor the respect of waiting until Monday to pile on…but then again these guys take kicks to the face for a living. Here is what Aldo had to say.

McGregor then clapped back with an epic response

 Conor iii 07MAR2016

I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed.
I will never apologize for taking a shot.
Shit happens.
I’ll take this loss like a man. I will not shy away from it. I will not change who I am. If another champion goes up 2 weights let me know.
If your tired of me talking money, take a nap.
I’ll still be here when you wake up with the highest PPV and the gate. Still talking multi 7’s.
Thank you to the true support and fuck the hate that came out of the woodwork. I love it all. Its still steak for breakfast.
I’ve been here many times in my life in some form or another. I’ll eat it all and come back stronger.
Aldo you are a pussy. Dos anjos you are a pussy.
When the history books are written, I showed up. You showed up on Twitter.
To the fans! Never ever shy away from challenges. Never run from adversity. Face yourself head on.
Nate I will see you again.

CONOR STILL CELEBRATED

Conor 07MAR2016
Conor celebrated his loss, dressed in a blue three piece suit at Surrender Night club in Vegas. If it all ended today McGregor’s story would be a good one. Before Saturday’s match McGregor was worth $14 million getting paid $12 Million for the 13 seconds he fought against Aldo and reportedly getting a minimum of $10 million for Saturday’s loss. In my book, that qualifies as a win. I would be partying too! If it ended today, it’s a good story but McGregor won’t settle for good. This is just the start of the 2nd chapter and if Conor has it his way we are headed for great. We look forward to McGregor’s next fight hopefully at UFC 200.
