Amy Winehouse – A Tragedy but Get it Straight, she was NO MUSICAL GENIUS!

This isn’t a piece to say how great Amy Winehouse was, how much of a legend she was or how she was a musical genius.  If she was all of that, then how come no one gave a s%#t about her when she was here?  I mean really?  This girl was in international celebrity, she was surrounded by people who made a living from her:  A Band, dancers, make-up artists, choreographers, music directors and no one cared enough.  I’m sure some people cared, but no one cared enough.

THE HOURS BEFORE HER DEATH:

She was seen in Camden (not NJ, but in London I guess you can buy drugs in any Camden) buying coke, heroin, ecstasy and Ketamine.  She appeared to be already drunk.  There were three people who were close to her near her apartment before she died,  Mr Traviss, her bodyguard- Neville (who is out of a job) and former Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace a so-called long time friend, who will also have to get a job.

I hold these people responsible.  Period.  No friend of mine will die from an overdose on my watch!  And I say that from experience.

AMY WINE HOUSE IS NOT A LEGEND!

There is no way I’m going to compare her to Kurt Cobain or Jimi Hendrix! Jim Morrison – NO WAY!!

If Lady Gaga died she would fall into that list, but not Amy Winehouse.  Sorry.  We always do that crap, how “great” people are when they die.  Nope!  After Michael Jackson  – who was a freak, pedophile, drug addict and weirdo until he died, then he was the greatest musician that ever lived.

If you talk smack when they are alive, then don’t change your tune when they are dead.

THE SIGNS WERE OVERWHELMING!

It’s ironic that her breakthrough album Back to Black won five Grammy’s and the song of the year was Rehab.  Hello!  Anyone home!! She needed help.

Even if she was the girl next door, the people around her should have helped.  The fact that she was a celebrity and people made their living from her talent is even more the reason that she should have been helped.

She went to rehab 4 times in total.  She told “The Sun” about going to rehab once,

I did [go to rehab], for just 15 minutes. I went in and said, “Hello” and explained that I drink because I’m in love and have f****d up the relationship. Then I walked out.’

She publicly admitted to having an eating disorder and said that she was “diagnosed” as a manic depressive; however she would not take her meds!

She hadn’t released an album since Black and Back.  She was in rehab 2 months ago! What kind of places are these?

Details of her crazy relationship kept surfacing.  In a letter to my buddy Perez Hilton, she said that Blake didn’t hit her as was reported.

‘I was cutting myself after he found me in our room about to do drugs with a call girl and rightly said I wasn’t good enough for him. I lost it.’

Once she went into a seizure at her apt in Camden and she wasn’t breathing.  The account as remembered by Blake,

‘She started having a fit on the bed. She slid down on to the floor before I could stop her. She started quivering again and it suddenly grew into what seemed like a full-blown epileptic fit.

‘I was panicking. I didn’t know how to help her. I was out of it on drugs as well – and was sobbing and crying out, “Amy!”‘

‘I knelt over her as she kept on fitting. But then suddenly she just passed out and stopped breathing. It was the most frightening thing I had ever seen. I felt sure I was watching her die right in front of me. I didn’t know what to do or how to save her. I held her to me – and I thought she was dying in my arms. But somehow I managed to open her mouth and breathe air down her throat,’ he added.

‘At first nothing happened. So I did it again. I was feeling for her pulse because I thought her heart might have stopped.

‘Then she spluttered – and I saw her chest rise. I was still sobbing and panicking but I just felt this huge relief that she was alive.’

Right out of Pulp Fiction!!

So this is truly a tragedy.  Not because she was a musical genius, because she wasn’t.  Not because she was a trendsetter, or role model.  She wasn’t any of those.  She hasn’t done crap in 6 years.  It’s a tragedy because those people around her, who earned a living on her back, watched her go down in flames.

That’s the tragedy.  Now that your meal ticket is gone, get a real job you low life losers.  Amy….now you can Rest in Peace!
