LeBron James’ 18-Year-Old Son Bronny Suffers Cardiac Arrest During Basketball Workout

Some really scary news to report. LeBron James’ son, Bronny, had to be rushed to the hospital on Monday during a basketball workout at USC.

According to the reports, the 18-year-old athlete was practicing on the court as normal when he dropped to the floor, suffering cardiac arrest. A 911 call was made from the practice facility at around 9:26 am, and according to the insiders, Bronny was still unconscious when paramedics arrived.

Our sources say it was a Code 3 — meaning the ambulance lights and sirens — which signifies the seriousness of the emergency.

We’re assuming they were able to get his heart pumping again as soon as they arrived because he’s already making a pretty speedy recovery.

A spokesperson for the family says he’s already out of the ICU…

Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update media when there is more information.

For those who don’t know, cardiac arrest is much different than your standard heart attack. Cardiac arrest is more of a electrical problem within the heart and typically doesn’t have anything to do with clogged arteries. Cardiac arrest happens in an instant and your heart stops beating completely. If you don’t have anyone around you to call for help, you are pretty much dead.

Very scary stuff, but we’re glad to hear he’s recovering. Bronny just recently committed to the Trojans and is expected to end up in the NBA soon.

Bronny was a McDonald’s All-American during his high school senior season … and LeBron has expressed his desire to play alongside his son in the League.

Here’s to hoping he makes a full recovery.
