Ricki Lake’s New Daytime Talk Show Airs it’s First Promo [video]
The promo for the “new” Ricki Lake show has just been released. That’s right Ricki Lake is back! New show, new husband new life. Her first wildly popular show aired between 1993 and 2004. It ran for 11 Seasons and she was even nominated for an Emmy but lost out to ‘you know how’. (Oprah of course).
In 2010 Ricki used ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to get her name back out in the public and was well received by the public. Now at age 43 and newly married to her second husband, she’s ready to make a comeback to daytime television.
With Oprah gone there is really only Ellen dominating the open show format during the day, leaving the playing field wide open for a new player and there are people lined up. Anderson Cooper has been trying to make his mark and has a head start but Ricki will have to battle other newcomers as well for coveted daytime viewers. Steve Harvey, and Survivor host Jeff Probst will also be throwing their hats into the Arena. Steve Harvey’s show will be premiering on September 4th while both Ricki and Jeff Probst will be premiering on September 11th.
Ricki has set up a facebook page for the new show with over 74,000 fans already and she’s asking them the same question she’s asking in her promo, ‘What’s missing from your in daytime?

Dancing with the Stars Next Season will be an All Star Cast. The Best of the Best will Compete On Season 15.
If you are a Dancing with the Stars fan then this is what you have been waiting for. You have been waiting for enough seasons to air so that you can have an “All Stars” season. Well the wait is over. ABC has confirmed that it will have an All Star Editions this fall. With nearly 14 in the books they feel that they have enough fan favorites to ask them back and put on the most competitive, remarkable season ever.
ABC’s Entertainment President Paul Lee confirmed the news,
We can’t talk about the casting yet, but I’d love to see some of the fan favorites from the past seasons come back,” Lee told reporters. “We’ve had many favorites over the 14 seasons that we’ve got. So, fingers crossed. We’re out casting now, and I hope we come in with a really interesting cast of people who our audience is passionate about.”
DWTS is one of the highest rated shows on television and an All Star Season promises to deliver even more ratings. The fall numbers typically tend to start higher and end lower versus the Spring when the Season finale ends in amidst the start of the summer line up.
I anticipate the ad spots going for a lot more this fall. A typical ad spot for the performance show back in 2010 fetched $204,806 and $167,821 for the results show. In comparison American Idol gets almost twice as much for a 30 second ad.

Anthony Hopkins Production Photos as Alfred Hitchcok Hits the Web as Production of Biographic Film Starts Shooting.
Anthony Hopkins is now taking on another epic role. He will be playing one of the greatest directors of all time, Alfred Hitchcock. The new film will focus on the period of Hitchcock’s life during the making of the real classic film Psycho.
This will be one of those movies of our time. Ironically filming of the movie begin on Friday the 13th following a production schedule that will have the completed project slated for a 2013 release.
The film boasts an all star cast: Scarlet Johansson will play Janet Leigh, the woman who played the role in the world renown scene. It will also star, Jessica Biel who will play Vera Miles and Helen Mirren will play Mrs. Hitchcock.
WAX ON, WAX OFF??? A SURPRISE STAR?
The original “Karate Kid” Ralph Macchio will be playing the role of Joe Stefano, the man who wrote ‘Psycho’. Who says it doesn’t pay to be on Dancing with the Stars!

‘Good Morning America’ Officially Beats ‘Today’ After an 852 Week Run by NBC.
Wow, talk about rubbing it in. There is nothing like a group photo with everyone flashing the number one sign posted to your Facebook page to say, “In Your Face!”
For the first time in 16 years. That’s right, 16 years Good Morning America beat out the Today’s show in the rating race. This comes on the back of Matt Lauer’s huge contract deal and rumors that Ann Curry’s job is in jeopardy over at NBC.
THE NUMBERS
According to Nielson, Good Morning American beat ‘Today’ by just 31,000 viewers last week. That is literally “nothing”. I’m sure Nielson went through those number twice before posting the results. At first count it was unofficial with a margin of just 13,000. Then this morning they officially released the number as 31,ooo.
The picture that is posted on Facebook says,
It’s official. GMA was America’s most-watched show last week, all thanks to you, our viewers. Thank you for sharing your mornings with us every day.”
SHERRI SHEPHERD TO THE RESCUE
It might be a fluke or the perfect storm. Good Morning America (GMA) was put over the top after “The View’s” Sherri Shepherd was unexpectedly eliminated the night before from Dancing with the Stars. Shepherd did not give any press interviews that night as she was extremely upset, so the audience was eager to hear what she had to say the next day. Combine that with the fact that “Big Money” Matt Lauer was on vacation and you have the perfect storm.
ABC News President Ben Sherwood, took the victory with style and class.
“Of course, we congratulate our friends at ‘Today’ for the greatest winning streak in broadcasting history and for their excellence and leadership during this historic run, It’s a special day for ABC News and, after a proper celebration 852 weeks in the making, we’ll get right back to work to be ready tomorrow to help ‘GMA’ viewers start their day with a rewarding experience and big picture understanding of the world.”
Let’s see if GMA can extend their streak to 2.

Melissa Gilbert Rushed to the Hospital During Tonights Episode of Dancing With the Stars!
Were you watching Dancing with the Stars tonight?
If you watched it all the way to the end then you learned that Melissa Gilbert was taken to the hospital after complaining about dizziness and feeling light headed.
Although Melissa and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s scored a 22, during the number she hit her head on the dance floor. She stood stoic during the judges commentary but became incredibly weak. Gavin DeGraw actually had to carry her out of the studio.
Before the show was over, Gilbert was placed on a stretcher and taken to an ambulance with her partner Maxim in tow.
ABC would not provide any details, only letting viewers know that an update will be provided during tomorrow’s live show.

Urkel an abuser and a Cheater? Jaleel White’s Ex dishes the Dirt!
Her name is Bridget Hardy. Call me shallow but before this story goes on, I need to see a picture. (Ok, not to bad Urk! ) She is calling Jaleel white and abuser and a cheater. Those are pretty stiff allegations.
Bridget is not only Jaleel’s ex, but also his baby’s mamma. They have a two year old together named Samaya. With the recent explosion of popularity that always comes with DWTS so does dirt. Ms. Bridget sat down with Star Magazine for a payday and revealed all that she could.
She tells Star that she pulled an Elin Nordegren(Tiger Woods Ex-Wife). She caught Jaleel cheating from evidence that she found on his cell. She found flirtatious messages and nude pictures of women.
“It was a lot of flirting, like, ‘I’m coming to your room,’ at 4 a.m.. He hooked up with one girl in our house…he hooked up with a girl within one week of me having the baby.”
DID I DOOOO THAAAT???
When she confronted him, White went Brown. Jaleel White pulled a Chris Brown and started whopping ass.
“He Blew Up. He hit me across the chest area. He pushed me into the toilet, and it broke. Water went everywhere, through the walls and even to the kitchen downstairs,”
Apparently Jaleel was also verbally abusive as well,
“Verbally and emotionally, he’s abusive. He told me I’m not working; I have no money; I’m white trash. None of it was true. He texted me and offered me $200,000 to leave our daughter with him and have me go and start my own family. He basically tried to pay me off. I went home screaming and said, ‘We’re done.’”
Bridget went to Seattle, when she came back Jaleel changed the locks and put her stuff in storage.
This doesn’t come as that much of a shock because the two were having it out on twitter back in 2010.
So now that Jaleel is re-swagged with Dancing With the Stars, it appears that Bridget wants some fame (and money) too! Jaleel has always denied all allegations of abuse. So far there is no official statement from his people.
