Watch “The Man of Steel” Official 2nd Trailer. This is Not Your Ordinary Superman!
Every superman fan is hoping that they get this one right. Lord knows the last superman sucked-arse. How can Batman be so good. Scratch that…great. How can Batman be so great and Superman, be so whack! The new official trailer looks like we might be turning the corner. Zack Snyder is destined to bring this franchise up to the level it deserves. Casting Henry Cavill was on point. In the trailer we see an enormous Cavil with and without the beard (I’m a fan of the beard). We also get to see him as a young boy. We catch a glimpse at Russell Crowe as Jor-El, which is also some great casting.
My only criticism is that the trailer lacked significant action, but it does a great job of building the drama. Whereas Spiderman is always somewhat High “Schoolee”, this trailer establishes that Superman is grown up and he’s here to kick some ass. I also see on the trailer that it is produced by Christopher Nolan. How did I NOT know that? I’m an entertainment blogger for crying out loud and I didn’t know this crucial detail. That would explain the “Dark Knight” feel of the trailer and movie. It’s intense!!
I’m definitely liking what I see so far; the trailer did its job. I can’t wait. The Man of Steel hits theaters June 14, 2013.
Mark Wahlberg Confirmed for Lead Role in Transformers 4 and Studio Releases New Logo.
Mark Wahlberg? Did you say Mark Wahlberg??
I’m not mad at that. No offense to Shia LaBeouf, but it would be nice to get someone in there with some chest hair, especially since LaBeouf has sworn off big budget films.
In his official statement Michael Bay confirmed the news, saying that Wahlberg would be perfect,
Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on ‘Pain and Gain’ and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the ‘Transformers’ legacy.”
Bay and Wahlberg just finished working on his new movie Pain and Gain together. Wahlberg must have worked Bay over because literally days after rejecting the rumors, Bay changed his mind. It must have been the positive reaction to the rumored selections.
The studio also released a logo for the movie. They have not confirmed yet if it would still be entitled “Transformers 4” or if there will be a tag line but with a June 2014 scheduled release they have some time.
Let’s get things straight, Wahlberg is no Leonardo Di Caprio, or Russell Crowe in terms of acting chops, but that’s not what Transformers needs. Wahlberg however is versatile; he can do films like “The Fighter” as well as “Ted”. He can bring in the ladies, and men can identify with his brawn. This is definitely a step in the right direction for the film.
However with this franchise I’ve learned to lower my expectations. Let’s see if T4 can deliver.
Steven Tyler is Done! He Quits American Idol After Only Two Seasons!
How about that for a shocker! Everyone was all gassed over J-Lo’s statements yesterday on NBC’s “The Today Show”, that she might leave “Idol’ that no one paid attention to Steven Tyler! I’m sure that was and is part of the problem.
After just two seasons, Tyler announced that he was no longer doing Idol. He released a statement yesterday saying,
“After some long, hard thoughts, I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit,”
“I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back. … The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass.”
This really isn’t a blow for the shows creator Simon Fuller, instead he sees it as a golden opportunity. He expressed his understanding for Tyler wanting to get back to work stating,
”I completely understand his desire to get back to his life as the singer in America’s greatest-ever rock band.”
Let’s face it, Tyler is great but when he leaves fans of the show are still sticking around.
I think Fuller would be more concerned if J-lo left because she would be much harder to replace then Tyler and she would take some fans with her. Just yesterday she had the internet all buzzing just because she said that she was unsure if she was returning to the show in January. Lopez told NBC’s Today Show,
“I’ve just enjoyed it so much. But I am thinking that maybe it’s time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do… but then again, I really love the show!”
As we see with “America’s Got Talent”, “The Voice” and “The X Factor” the selection of judges can and will make or break the show. Idol has a chance to replace 1 maybe 2. If done right it can see ratings soar or if screwed up, it could mean disaster for the franchise. Recent discussions have been around Adam Lambert as a potential judge, which in my opinion would be a huge mistake. I say, pay Lopez whatever she needs to stay for at least 2 more seasons and bring in another legend like Maria Carey, or a male with personality and a huge following.
I wonder what Paula is doing these days. This could get interesting. Stay tuned.

House Hunters and House Hunters International Are Fake! Former Show Participants Come Forward with Details.
We all know that reality TV most of the time isn’t really all that real, or do we?
House Hunters, a show that has been on the Air since 1999 is being exposed as fake!
On House Hunters the camera follows perspective home buyers as they look at 3 houses and then choose which house they are going to purchase. Simple straight forward, and often interesting to viewers especially if you are in the market for a house or selling your own home.
A former participant Bobi Jensen has revealed that the producers of the show would not finalize her as a contestant until she already paid and purchased one of the houses. She also explains that the other two houses that were shown sometimes are not really for sale, in fact in her case, they were homes of her close friends. They were never really available for her to buy.
Jensen went on to explain,
“Friends whose houses we toured were in the midst of working towards life changes (job promotions, out-of-state moves) and both thought they might be selling in the next few years — so it wasn’t such a far stretch for them to want theirs featured.” In fact, One actually went on the market and sold before the show aired.”
“I’d like to make clear that I love HGTV!”
A participant of House Hunters International, which is an extension of the House Hunters franchise also confirmed that he purchased the house before filming. Ted Prosser who purchased a Virgin Island home said,
‘The show is not really a reality show.’
The show is also accused of skewing the storylines to make them more intriguing and relate-able to the audience. When Mrs. Jensen took part in the show she told producers that she wanted their existing house to be turned into a rental, therefore she would like to purchase another home. When her episode aired, she was surprised to learn that her story was changed. Supposedly she wanted to purchase a house because her family was out growing her current one. The producers said that the later storyline was more “TV Friendly”.
HOUSE HUNTERS DOES NOT DENY THE CLAIMS!
HGTV’s director of programming Brian Balthazar basically says, “Yeah, that’s what we do.” He told TODAY.com
‘To maximize production time, we seek out families who are pretty far along in the process.
‘Often everything moves much more quickly than we can anticipate, so we go back and revisit some of the homes that the family has already seen and we capture their authentic reactions.’
He goes on to explain that purchasing a home is such a big deal, that the reactions you get the 2nd time around are very similar to the initial reactions thus, still makes good TV.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Some fans were not buying the excuse at all, and some like myself don’t really mind. I think these are the kinds of liberties that are taken to pull off a good show. I’m sure the process has evolved since 1999. I would assume that completing the purchase of a house before was not an initial prerequisite but after getting burnt a few times, they made some changes. It could also be a way of weeding out those who are not really that serious about buying a home to begin with.
What Bobbi Jensen also says, that some news stories are leaving out is that the participants are required to find the homes for sale, but in her case she couldn’t so they ended up using homes that were not for sale. She explains how in Texas they just couldn’t find homes that wanted to be on the show,
“I think they were afraid we’d show their house in a bad light, Plus, the San Antonio real estate market was bustling at that time and no one needed free advertising . . . especially when the episode wouldn’t air for six more months.”
In regards to changing backstories, I think making backstories more TV friendly is ok as well. Reality TV is scripted TV with amateur actors. People take it way too personally, and at the end of the day it’s entertainment.
If you find out that your Local News show is fake, then it’s time to get pissed. Until then, just relax and enjoy. It’s not really that serious.

Will Smith Tells Letterman His Side of the Slap and Jokester Vitalii Sediuk Records a Video Apology[video]
After the run in this weekend with the Ukranian jokester who tried to kiss him during his Men In Black 3 promotion in Moscow, Will Smith joked about the incident on his appearance on Letterman. Letterman wasted no time in asking him about the incident. He says,
“You beat up a guy who was trying to hug you”.
Will Smith explained exactly what happened,
“I didn’t beat up a guy! No, no. I was in Moscow and … we’re doing an interview and he says, ‘Man …,’ he was a reporter and he says, ‘I’m your biggest fan, can I have a hug, please?’ So I go to give this joker a hug and he tries to lean in to kiss me, you know? And … it’s just awkward, Dave.”
Smith then goes on to say that the sponsors apologized,
“I don’t know. … They were [like] ‘We’re sorry, you know, it’s just his shtick.’ and I said, ‘That’s why his ass got shtuck.’ “
The jokester goes by the name of Vitalii Sediuk who is now getting his 15 minutes of fame. He released a video apologizing stunt saying,
I apologize for my behavior, I think it was too much. I don’t kiss every man or women when I see them in the street.
He then promised that if he saw Will Smith again, he would give Smith a handshake.
MEN IN BLACK 3
I think this incident couldn’t have come at a better time for Smith. It’s difficult to release a movie these days when The Hunger Games and The Avengers are redefining what a successful premier actually means. Men In Black 3 might have hit it right from a timing perspective with all the juice sucked out of The Avengers and Memorial Day just begging for people to hit the theaters.
When asked about the actual film, Smith seemed very satisfied with the 3rd installment of the franchise,
“The fun of [this film] is trying to make it new but not so new that it don’t match, We had to be able to create something that was brand-new, that stands on its own, and it’s been 10 years since the first movie, so there were a lot of things working against it. But it’s the first time it’s in 3-D — my ears are in 3-D for the first time, I’m very happy with it.”

The Bachelorette Sneak Peak Trailer – Emily Maynard’s 2nd Chance. [Trailer]
With all the negative press surrounding ABC and the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise we almost forgot to worry about the real show. Season 8 of the Bachelorette will be starting shortly and we already know it’s going to be Emily (Maynard). You remember Emily, she actually won Season 15 when Brad proposed to her but we all knew that is wasn’t going to work out. Brad was a straight up psycho. Period. As a single mom, he just wasn’t right and she did the right thing by bailing on that relationship.
Today ABC released he long trailer for this upcoming season. You get to take a peek of all the excitement that is yet to come. After the Season of “Ben”, this franchise needs a reboot because been bored everyone to death!
The producers are planning to shake things up from the start. During the Premiere episode one of the dudes will forgoes the traditional limo and arrives on a helicopter. This leaves you wondering, “Who is this guy?”. Is he richer then the rest? Is he someone from past Seasons? See…..it’s working. You are already in.
WHAT’S GOING ON IN REAL TIME?
In real time she’s down to her final four. The one on one dates started on march 16th so we need to catch up and get our chance in just a few weeks, The new season starts on May 11th. Watch the trailer.
