Jennifer Lopez is the 2nd Judge To Quit American Idol in 2 Days!
J. Lo, not one to be upstaged, made her exit today on the heels of Steven Tyler. The two joined Idol two seasons ago together and are now exiting the same way they came in. Lopez hit Ryan Seacrest with the news on his own Radio show this morning.
Lopez’s reason for leaving is she’s just too busy. She told Seacrest,
“I honestly feel like the time has come for me to doing the other things I do that I’ve kind of put on hold because I love Idol so much.”
She said that she struggled with the decision and swore that money was not a factor in her choice. She earned $12 million for last season despite viewership being down 25 percent.
This leaves the shows’ creator Simon Fuller with a situation. He’s got to fill what is two of the most high profile judging positions on TV. He can see this as opportunity or disaster. Which one it really is will depend on who he’s able to get to commit.
With the new season gearing up to start in January the search is on! So far there has been no word on if Randy Jackson is in our out. If Randy goes……who knows. …and just in case you were worried, Seacrest is in.
Steven Tyler is Done! He Quits American Idol After Only Two Seasons!
How about that for a shocker! Everyone was all gassed over J-Lo’s statements yesterday on NBC’s “The Today Show”, that she might leave “Idol’ that no one paid attention to Steven Tyler! I’m sure that was and is part of the problem.
After just two seasons, Tyler announced that he was no longer doing Idol. He released a statement yesterday saying,
“After some long, hard thoughts, I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit,”
“I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back. … The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass.”
This really isn’t a blow for the shows creator Simon Fuller, instead he sees it as a golden opportunity. He expressed his understanding for Tyler wanting to get back to work stating,
”I completely understand his desire to get back to his life as the singer in America’s greatest-ever rock band.”
Let’s face it, Tyler is great but when he leaves fans of the show are still sticking around.
I think Fuller would be more concerned if J-lo left because she would be much harder to replace then Tyler and she would take some fans with her. Just yesterday she had the internet all buzzing just because she said that she was unsure if she was returning to the show in January. Lopez told NBC’s Today Show,
“I’ve just enjoyed it so much. But I am thinking that maybe it’s time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do… but then again, I really love the show!”
As we see with “America’s Got Talent”, “The Voice” and “The X Factor” the selection of judges can and will make or break the show. Idol has a chance to replace 1 maybe 2. If done right it can see ratings soar or if screwed up, it could mean disaster for the franchise. Recent discussions have been around Adam Lambert as a potential judge, which in my opinion would be a huge mistake. I say, pay Lopez whatever she needs to stay for at least 2 more seasons and bring in another legend like Maria Carey, or a male with personality and a huge following.
I wonder what Paula is doing these days. This could get interesting. Stay tuned.

Is J-Lo’s boy Toy, Casper Smart Gay?
Well for one, he can’t be Gay because he is with Lopez, so at best he is bi-sexual. Radar Online interviewed another back up dancer and a friend of Smart named Joshua “Josh” Lee Ayers.
He basically said that Casper is really gay and is only using Jennifer Lopez for her money and fame.
LOOKS LIKE JOSHUA IS A HATER?
Joshua was in the movie “Step Up 3d” with Casper and after talking to Radar Online, went on to talk to In Touch Weekly as well. He explained how Casper was in a two year relationship with a women named Aisha Francis who was actually the one that got him the job dancing for Lopez in her video “Dance Again”. Casper was still with Aisha at the beginning of his relationship with Lopez and dumped Francis when she found out from TV and tabloids that Casper was dating the super star.
Joshua then goes on to tell In Touch that Casper is,
“willing to do whatever Jennifer wants as long as it furthers his own career.”
Three months ago, Joshua posted a picture of a shirtless Casper wearing shiny gold short shorts with a stuffed crotch on Twitter with the caption:
“Check out UR boy….And his low key homo ways.”
Jennifer and Casper’s rep has slammed the allegations, stating,
”Casper is not gay. These comments are born from envy and jealousy.”
WASTE OF TIME
If there is truth to this rumor we should be seeing a bunch of so called former boyfriends of Casper popping out to the wood works Travolta style and two Jennifer Lopez wont’ care, she’s all heard it before.
No sure what Joshua “Josh” Lee Ayers goal was in trying to out Smart, but if it was to break up him and J-Lo he’s going to have to try harder than that. Trust me, I hate Casper just as much as the net guy but these allegations are just lame.

Jennifer Lopez on Ellen, Corrects Adoption & Postpartum Rumors and Talks about her Return for a Third Season on Idol [video]
Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz were both on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. J-Lo was there to set the record straight regarding some rumors that have been spreading on the web by……ahem ahem…..gossip bloggers. I am guilty of at least one of them.
The first rumor she addressed was that she wanted to adopt a baby with boy toy caser Smart. This is not true. Lopez says,
“I know I’m being misquoted in the press a lot, [They say that] I want to adopt and I had depression when I had babies — none of that’s true.”
“I never really thought about adoption before this movie, ever. I just thought, ‘I’m going to have my own kids.’ I never thought about it as something I would do.”
“After doing the role and holding these babies, you can see how you can take a baby that you don’t know and who, you know, needs a home, You can give them a home a raise them as your own. . . Through the character I came to understand how people do it, because before I never really thought about it.”
The next issue is the postpartum rumors. She said that it was not true. The Postpartum part is blown out of proportion. She was basically just feeling a little sad and that lasted for a short period of time and then she was ok. She referred to it as the baby blues.
“I had what they called the ‘baby blues,’ which is when your hormones drop and you get very emotional, [In the pregnancy guide What to Expect When You're Expecting] they’re like, ‘You might be feeling every emotional today.’ I said, ‘Yes, I am. That’s what’’s happening to me right now.’ So those are the two stories that people ran away with a little bit.”
In regards to Idol, will she continue to do another season?? J-Lo’s responded,
“I enjoy it. I really do enjoy it, I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down.”
And regards to the twins,
“Now they’re getting more mobile. They’re about to go to school, I just don’t know. I don’t know.”
I think she has another season of Idol in her because she’s having way too much fun. Only time will tell. Here’s the clip below. Oh yeah….Cameron Diaz was there too.

J – “Low”, Jennifer Lopez Reveals During Redbook Interview that she Suffered from Postpartum Depression
Just when you think the superstar has all that she can handle, she piles on more. She will be starring in What To Expect When You’re Expecting. To promote the movie, Lopez and her co-stars, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Cameron Diaz and Brooklyn Decker all did an interview with Redbook. Oddly enough Lopez was the only one in the group with kids.
POSTPARTNUM DEPRESSION
J-Lo gave birth to her twins back in 2008. She said shortly after Postpartnum hit her and that’s when she turned to the book, What to Expect When You’re Expecting. She says the book got her out of a dark place that’s why she jumped at the chance to do the movie. She told Redbook,
“I remember after the babies were born, about seven to 10 days in, I was like, ‘What is going on with me?’ I felt sad and depressed and thought the babies didn’t love me.
I actually remember picking up the book (What to Expect When You’re Expecting) to try to see what was happening to me, and it said how you have this huge hormonal drop about seven to 10 days after you give birth. It’s called the ‘baby blues.’ But I just thought they didn’t like me!”
When asked how does she make it work day to day, J-lo says,
My sanctuary is my bathtub. That’s really the only time I get to myself. It’s usually around 15 or 20 minutes, but for me, those minutes are like heaven on earth. Sometimes I even say a little prayer while I’m in there. I’m like, ‘Lord, help me get through this day!
In the film Lopez plays Holly, a woman who adopts a baby from abroad. Her love interest in the film is Rodrigo Santoro. The two do a great job playing the characters from Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazels original book.

What’s all the buzz about J-Lo’s newest video? It’s a big-ass tattoo that she has plastered over her back and her front. The tattoo on her back is a dragon and there is huge writing across the front of her chest, just below the neck.
So what does Jennifer’s Lopez’ Tattoo say?
It says “Lideres” which means Leader in Spanish. It’s totally unnecessary, but that is what art is all about, right? The video is decent and the song is decent. Depending on your genre of music. The Reggaeton duo of Wisin & Yandel also lend their sound to spice things up. I like it, and J-Lo looks damn good for any age, but for 42 she’s amazing. Guess who directed it? Casper “the very” Smart!
LET’S FACE J-Lo PAYS CASPER’S SALARY – HE’S A KEPT MAN!
In my opinion this is a way for J-Lo t legitimately give this D-bag money without saying that she’s giving him money. (See my post for evidence that he is a D-Bag). The video is actually pretty involved and would take a significant amount of directing so if he actually, really directed it, kudos to him. Job well done. I must give props where props are due.
In regards to J-Lo, despite her choice as a boyfriend she is parlaying this American Idol ride into everything I could possibly be and more. At age 42, her career is as strong as ever, throw in a movie role and she will have a Hollywood Trifecta!
