Even After He Tweets and Apology Daniel Tosh Takes Heat for Rape Joke
Hate those damn bloggers.
Daniel Tosh was the victim of a Tumblr. There was a rape joke incident at the “Laugh Factory” and thanks to the wonderful world of Tumblr we got to hear all about it.
During his set Daniel Tosh says that Rape Jokes are funny. Someone (we will call her Ms. Tumblr) yells from her seat,
“rape jokes are never funny!”
Never provoke a comic. He has a microphone and you don’t. Tosh took it on as a challenge. He replies back,
‘Wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now? Like right now? What if a bunch of guys just raped her…’
That’s it. That was the end of the story because Ms. Tumblr got the hell out of there. As she says in her own words,
I, completely stunned and finding it hard to process what was happening but knowing I needed to get out of there, immediately nudged my friend, who was also completely stunned, and we high-tailed it out of there. It was humiliating, of course, especially as the audience guffawed in response to Tosh, their eyes following us as we made our way out of there. I didn’t hear the rest of what he said about me.”
Somehow that blog gained traction. (I wish I knew because I could use some traction….wtf!) So much traction that Tosh himself noticed it and issued a Twology (An apology on twitter). He writes,
“All the out of context misquotes aside, I’d like to sincerely apologize,” he tweeted to his 6,139,000 followers. “The point I was making before I was heckled is there are awful things in the world but you can still make jokes about them.”
Of course, now it’s a big deal and a self-initiated apology is now not enough. Here comes the RAINN with their act. A spokesperson for the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network wrote in Fox411’sPops Tarts column,
“When will this ‘funny man’ realize that rape jokes aren’t funny? By suggesting that an audience member deserved to be gang raped, Tosh took his shtick to a new low. Applause is due to the woman who had the guts to vocalize what many in room were thinking,”
However, “Laugh Factory” owner Jamie Masada, who was reportedly present during the showdown, has a slightly different version of events, telling Buzzfeed that he asked the audience what they wanted to talk about, and one viewer piped up “rape.”
“Daniel came in, and he said, ‘Well it sounds like she’s been raped by five guys’ – something like that. I didn’t really hear properly”
He then said that she didn’t get up and leave but stayed for the entire act and then complaine afterward.
But according to Ashley-Michelle Arnold, a webmaster for a message board for rape victims, is not enough,
“When your punch line comes from a horrific experience, there’s nothing funny about it. Right now, defenders are spinning it that the woman wasn’t really offended, as if that somehow makes it OK because she was the subject, after all. However, it doesn’t work like that; humor that trivializes what is one of the most horrific experiences a human being can inflict another doesn’t get a green pass simply because the intended target didn’t gratify Tosh’s disgusting punch line,” she said. “Comedy should be used to entertain people, and to educate them. Jokes that turn violence into a caricature do neither and, in fact, contribute to the stigma which blame survivors for being victimized and downplay how severely it can impact a life.”
I say lighten the “f” up people. He’s a comic. I’m not saying that what he did was right, I’m saying that he’s a comedian so let it go. I’m also not saying it wasn’t an awful thing to say, but he apologized. There is not more that he can do. If you don’t want to watch and support him don’t. But just putting out these statements after he’s already apologized is almost meaningless.
Holly Robinson Peete Goes at 50 Cent for Tweets he Made Regarding Autistic Kids – She should Be Careful
Holly has been a renegade for all things autism but she is picking a fight with a man that has ended many a career. Not to mention, he already kinda apologized.
WHAT DID 50 TWEET?
To defend 50, his tweet was in response to a fan saying that he would “shoot” fif if he didn’t release his album.

So 50 retweeted

Then 50 tweeted,

@Yung_raditz tweet cent 50 fans going at him hard. He spent the next 10 hours defending himself and saying that he really is a 50 fan. Here are just 3 of the 15 or 20 responses that yung_raditz tweeted in his defense.

FIF – ACTUALLY APOLOGIZES
Fif, not to be a p**sy but he realized the impact that he might have had so he laughed it off, but there was truth in his gest,
‘just kidding about da special ed kids man, i was in special ed day said i had anger issues lol’.
HOLLY ROBINSON GETS IN ON IT, FIRE SHOTS OF HER OWN
In an open letter that she posted with Austism File magazine she states,
‘When I read (the tweet) it my heart sank. I thought maybe your account had been hacked. No such luck.’
‘You went on to joke about not wanting “special ed kids” on your timeline. Seriously, THIS is how you use your platform of 8 million plus followers??’
‘I’ve met you in passing over the years and I know you are a bright, astute businessman and legitimate philanthropist so it is with a bit of sincere confusion that I ask you… Do you even know what autism is?’
’1 in 88 have it. That’s 1 in 54 boys. Families suffer a social stigma you will never know. It is a financial and emotional drain…
‘I hope you can see how what you might see as a benign insult-or not- was so randomly hurtful, immature and misinformed. Maybe you are naive or indifferent as to how many of your fans might be deeply and personally offended by your insult. At the very least-can you please delete it?’
‘Finally, this is my son Rodney Peete. He has autism. So I guess this is what autistic looks like? He is in special ed. He loves rap music and is a HUGE fan of yours. He’s a tremendous kid.

Another mother tries to join in tweeting a picture of her son, trying to prove that maybe Autism doesn’t have a look.

Fif then replied – what again is sort of an apology, or at least an acknowledgement that Fif does understand the severity of the Autistic condition and would not seriously poke fun at it,
‘I would @Danicakes23 never talk about kids condition. People say all kinds of crazy things to me on twitter.’
Holly would have been much better off asking nicely then attacking him. As I post this the comment still remains. In fact, Holly has brought more attention to the tweet then if she would have left it alone and let it move naturally off the page. 50 tweets often and it would have been gone in just half a day.
You can attack fif all you want verbally, the man has been shot 9 times. He’s been attacked by bigger talents over more severe issues…and he has been known to end careers. The best thing that Holly can hope for is that she didn’t awake the giant, and if she did that he’s in a good move.
I bet Fif has done more in philanthropically in the past year then the starting squad on the Knicks. Obviously it is not enough because the media, fans, and society are insatiable vultures and will zero in on the one anything they can to attack, even if it’s as small as a tweet.

Drake, Chris Brown and Meek Mills Fight it Out at WIP’s in SOHO. What Really Happened?
Some of us are thinking that Chris Brown got just what he deserved, others are feeling bad, the remaining people are just torn. I have to say most people who are Chris Brown fans love Drake and vice versa.
The whole thing went down at WIP in SoHO. The event was to celebrate Teyana Taylor’s G.O.O.D. music signing party. The incident happened right after last call at 3:50 AM.
Details of the fight itself are really really sketchy however me being an NYC cat I actually have a lot more details on this whole incident than most. Yes there were a lot of so called celebs in the house. Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Fab and of coure Meek Mill, Drake and Chris Brown. Mills runs with Philly cats and they were definitely with him that night.
The DJ sees Drake and shouts him out,
“DRAKE IS IN THE HOUSE!”
Drake heads off to the VIP section with his boys. The DJ is spinning Drake and Meek Mills tracks and drake is dancing on a table. Then all of a sudden he puts on a Chris Brown record and Drake stops dancing. He gets off the table and says,
Naw I don’t f**k with that n**ga.
Of course he is still bitter over the whole Rihanna Marvin’s room beef.
Drake is now near Chris Brown and Breezi then starts talking smack. Allegedly (and I say allegedly) Drake grabs a bottle and throws it at Chris Brown, just like “Basketball Wives”. That sets everything off.
Drake runs to the bathroom to take cover. Meek Mills and his Philly boys get right into the thick of things. Breezi’s security did exactly what they were paid to do and got his girlfriend Karrueche Tran out of the club.
Chris Brown then yelled,
P**y A$$ N**a Hiding in the Bathroom.
This situation was no joke.
Breezi had a gash on his chin, not really a big deal but a picture of his injured bodyguard shows just how real things got.
There was no one arrested and Drake, Meek Mills and Brown broke out and were nowhere to be found when the police arrived.
BROWNS INJURED BODY GUARD “BIG PAT”
Brown took to twitter to bitch about the incident after posting a picture of himself with a busted chin. The tweets and the photo have been removed, but just like anything, once on the internet always on the internet. I suspect, Brown still being on parole removed the pictures as to not foolishly incriminate himself.

Drakes’ rep has already started with the defense tactics, probably because of the serious injuries of Brown’s bodyguard. He released a statement saying that Drake was just leaving the club when everything went down,
“[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”
“Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began.”
What is rep should have said is that Drake is hiding in the bathroom like a little b*tch in Stall 2 with his feet up. This is infuriating because two of the bitchiest people in the game causing this much ruckus. This is not a joke, and people have been hurt. It’s time to squash the beef and move on. There is too much money to be made. Period!

Amber Portland Gets her Wish. The Teen Mom is Sentenced to 5 Years in prison, per Her Request
Another “Teen Mom” bites the dust. Amber will be going to jail for 5 years! S**t just got real for the 22 year old. Back in December she was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and probation violation. During her court hearing she plead guilty and avoided jail time by entering a drug rehab program.
Her troubles started back in 2010 when she was arrested for battery charges when she beat up her baby’s father Gary Shirley. For that incident she was given her original probation.
Amber quit the drug rehab program on Tuesday and she was given her original 5 year sentence. She got 3 years for the drug possession and 2 years for the probation violation.
The judge was no joke, despite her lawyers pleading her case she still got the five years, however she was credited with 120 days that she did serve in the rehab program.
AMBER GOT HER WISH
This is actually what Amber wanted. She basically said that the drug rehab program she was in, was just not working. She was and still is hooked on the drug Suboxone. She said rather then continue the charade and keep failing drug tests that she would rather just come clean, go to jail and be forced to quit cold turkey.
The danger in that strategy is that many times in jail you are exposed to other drugs and criminal behavior. Although you might think her strategy is noble, it’s dumb, immature and irresponsible. Her 5 year old child could possibly not see her mother out of prison until he’s 10. What respectful mother would want that.

65 Year old Elton John Cancells Four Shows in Vegas Due to a Serious Respiratory Infection
Elton john is suffering from a serious respiratory infection. At age 65 a serious respiratory anything is no joke. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital and was advised by doctors not be perform for the next week.
Even at his age, Elton John was still pumping out concerts. Imagine your dad going hard at 65 on stage. Elton John’s performance schedule consisted of four four shows at Caesar Palace within the next seven days, all of which he had to cancel
He was told he needed ‘complete rest and antibiotic treatment to prevent damage.’
Elton John released a statement regarding missing the shows,
‘It feels strange not to be able to perform these Million Dollar Piano concerts at the Colosseum.
‘I love performing the show and I will be thrilled when we return to the Colosseum in October to complete the 11 concerts.’
‘All I can say to the fans is “sorry I can’t be with you.”‘
The Million Dollar shows are not called that because of his pay, but because of the piano he uses. The piano itself actually cost $1 million for Yamaha to produce. It took the company four years to complete manufacturing.
Although this hasn’t been a good year for Elton who had to cancels two shows earlier this year due to food poisoning, he has managed to complete well over 3000 shows in Vegas, performing his 3000th last year.
Elton needs to stay healthy his kid is only 3, he will need his father. Well both his fathers. 
Two Black Guys Suing “The Bachelor” After Getting Put Through a Different Casting Procedure!
At first I thought, “Must Everything Be about Race?”, and then I learned more……
Christopher Johnson and Nathaniel Claybrooks say that when they went to try out for the show they were never called back.
OK….THAT’S DIFFERENT. THEY MIGHT ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING HERE…
They explained that when they went to try out, they were excluded from the same process that all the other contestants were going through.
The lawsuit sheds light on the fact that in all of the 23 seasons of the franchise there has never been a black person in either the Bachelorette or Bachelor roles. There used to be black contestants. They were usually eliminated in the first two episodes but they were definitely sprinkled in there.
The producer and creator of the show Mike Fliess previously addressed this very issue during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He stated,
“We really tried [for a racially diverse cast], but sometimes we feel guilty of tokenism…We always want to cast for ethnic diversity, it’s just that for whatever reason, they don’t’ come forward. I wish they would”, .
The two men are both aspiring NFL players and they are taking this lawsuit very seriously. They will be holding a press conference with their legal teams, where they will file the class action lawsuit against ABC and Fliess.
I CAN’T FIND SHAWN RYAN’S TWEET
There are reports that Shawn Ryan spoke out against the show and ABC. He’s the man who created “the Chicago Code” and “The Shield”. He fired shots via twitter,
“[T]hey blame minorities [sic] for ‘not coming forward’. What a joke, [s]traight up racism. They just don’t think America will watch black bachelor [sic] or root for mixed-race marriage.”
I find the fact that Shawn Ryan tweeted that as weird being that he’s trying to get a new show on ABC. Maybe that’s why I can’t find the tweet! Could it be possible that he removed it?
HOW DO CHRIS AND NATHAN LOOK?
The missing link to all of this is, how do the two men look? Aspiring football players lead you to believe that they are in good shape and possibly from decent schools. Maybe they didn’t earn enough, or just weren’t’ attractive enough. I’m sure we will know soon.
Will this lawsuit increase the likelihood of a black Bachelor in the future? ABC can’t win at this point. They are damned if they do and damned if they don’t!
