Beyonce, Jay Z And Solange Release Family Statement Addressing Elevator Fight

Finally! Jay Z and Solange are speaking out after a brutal week of speculation. Jay Z, Solange and Beyonce released a statement to the Associated Press yesterday.

In the statement, they never actually do say what caused the fight, but they insist they have moved on from it.

“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.”

The statement continues by admitting both Jay Z and Solange take responsibility for the fight. Even though it clearly looks like Solange is the only crazy one in the video.

“Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

What about those reports of Solange being intoxicated? Sources say she was acting like a complete idiot throughout the evening.

“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

It’s a solid statement. It makes you remember that they are humans, too. However, this statement will not put an end to the speculation because they didn’t answer anything. People still want to know exactly what triggered the fight.

It was probably something stupid that started it all. Isn’t that usually how family fights start? Grandpa Stephens tells Aunt Jean she needs to stop sleeping with so many guys, and start building a family before it is too late.

And then Aunt Jean is like, “OH, HELL NAW! I DON’T CARE HOW OLD YOU ARE. I WILL KICK YOUR ASS!” And then Grandpa Stephens grabs his cane, and that’s when you know sh-t is about to go down.
