Watching the View last week, I had to listen to dumb, dumber, old and older (I’ll let you figure out who’s who), speculate why David and Victoria Bekham named their new daughter Harper Seven.  Despite all of the opinions from the women of The View, it’s nice to hear it straight from the horses mouth.

David and Victoria’s new daughter Harper Seven was named after Harper Lee, the author of “To Kill A Mockingbird”.  This happens to be Victoria’s favorite book.  (Yes she does read).

Everyone thought it was a Character from the Wizards of Waverly Place or Harper Bazaar magazine, but David set the record straight.

‘A lot of thought goes into our children’s names and Harper was a name that we’ve loved for a long time for a couple of reasons.

‘One reason is Harper’s an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria’s favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author was Harper Lee. It’s a very strong, passionate book. That’s where Harper came from.’

The child’s middle name is seven.  It was previously incorrectly announced that Seven was the child’s first name.  Reasons for this were obvious as that was Becker’s soccer jersey while he played in Manchester United.  But Beckham says it’ more:

‘And then Seven you know, a lot of people have assumed its just because of my shirt number that I wore for many years and part of it is because I had so much luck around wearing that number, wearing it for England, wearing it for Manchester United.

‘It was such an influential number throughout my career and a lucky number… but that wasn’t the main reason.

The other reasons behind Seven was because it symbolizes spiritual perfection, the Seven Wonders Of The World, seven colors of the rainbow and in many cultures around the world it’s regarded as a lucky number.

I still think it’s was because of his Jersey.  People try to get all deep when it’s not even that serious.  Beckham posted baby stuff on his facebook as well.

COINCIDENCE?
Of course it was just coincidence that the baby was 7 lbs 10 oz, and arrived at 7:55 this morning.

I thought just having a rich-a$$ mom and dad made you lucky, having that and being named Seven, the future is looking bright for this kid.
